Me hating the greens or not entirely depends on the round I just played, I've gone from "These greens are quite fun" to "How the hell could this be approved?" probably 10 times the last week as my practice rounds have fluctuated between +5 and -5.

-3 (CC-G) on the first round. Pretty happy all things considering, it's so easy to turn birdies into bogeys around here. You really have to plan where to place your approach shots here and then execute. It's a fun course!

I was playing pretty safe through 11 with 2 birds, 2 bogeys and the rest pars. I was also playing too conservative and was just barely lipping in my putts on a lot of holes and burning the edges on birdie opportunities which is a clear sign of a bad putting day.
And then the wheels came off. I missed a short putt on 12 with a bogey and then crashed and burned coming home.
The edge burners continued but then the putt was worse going back.
I go +7 in the final 5 holes and destroy my round.
14. Triple bogey 7 15. Bogey 4 16. Bogey 5 17. Par 18. Double Bogey 6
What was bad was that my True Sim Round 1 was +1 and that is with putts that I can hardly read.
Putting can change from day to day. If you lose that feel you will no doubt struggle and the golfing gods will just laugh at you.
Oh well, time to just try to improve with Round 2, but less pressure as I will probably miss the cut unless I go lights out.

I played a practice round today and ... concluded I need another practice round. Coming in off a top 3 finish in CC-I and promoted to D though the promo event. I'm hoping my first tournament in D isn't a bust! My putting has been good recently, but that can change quick. I think I'm more nervous about the approach shots. I think I'll spend more time this week looking to leave myself with 100% / full shots in.

My putting put me in a hole that I couldn’t come out of. In RD 2 I had to be super aggressive and then came the part of the course where I struggled and that was Holes 12-16
On to Chicago!

What sort of wind speeds were y'all seeing in Round 3? I'm convinced that if you set up a practice round to match the wind speed and direction of the round you're practicing for, more often than not, it'll be completely different in the society round. Default wind speed in my practice rounds were between 5-10mph, now playing round 3 and it's been between 11-16mph.

My wind speeds alternated back and forth between the rounds. Medium for R1, low for R2, medium for R3, and low for R4.

That was a fun course. Not going to lie, I was cursing the greens at the start but really enjoyed the challenge by the end of my four rounds, the angles and speed let you set up some really challenging putts. The back 9 was a real test to not to lose many shots for me, went -14 through the front 9 across my rounds and only -5 on the back 9.
But yeah, really enjoyable course overall.

Agreed, I really enjoyed it at the end when I finally got the hang of the course, plus the way you can have some really cool approach shots, rolling it off banks and bumps outside the green and have it trickle down towards the flag.
