Is it fair to say everyone should treat the promotion event like they would when they were doing the qualifying? Are there just a lot of players on the pro tours that are either not playing much anymore or have they been demoted and that’s the reason for the promotion event? Our new Challenge Circuit/Qualifying Pool system backfills the CC flights every week - it doesn't do much for the top 3 tours. Now that we're rolling into regular Promotion Events they mainly serve as a way to back fill the top 3 tours with the added bonus of giving everyone a change to fly up the ranks as many spots open up as people promote up.
First one will be pretty hectic (lots of pro slots available), then it should settle down a bit more as we get into the rest as we won't have as much participation dropoff between promo events going forward.
Bear with me as we'll likely deal with a few flights well below ideal tour size the week following the promo event - will make the Qualifying event fun as there should be lots of cards available the week after a promo event.

In this promotion event are there any cuts or is this 4 complete rounds?

There has never been a cut in a promo event to date, so wouldn't expect that to change. Don't know whether the first two rounds will still need to be done by Wednesday though.....

Going to go with 140 as ideal tour sizes across the board.
Gives a bit of an idea of how many promotion slots are available as we had fields of 125 (platinum), 105 (Elite), and 113 (Kinetic) this past week. Will be lots of promotion slots available this go around as the trickle down effect from all these pro slots will likely mean 100's of promotions (north of 400 likely).
If you're looking to promote up, best to play all 4 rounds and just see what happens at the end of the week. Those of you that are on the bottom half of the leaderboard may be surprised at what gets a promotion - so play all 4 rounds and then wait it out!

Not sure if the weather report is always accurate So I would check the settings right before you tee off and then practice I’d you need. Noticed it was different on the CC event this week.

They aren't listed in order in case that might be why you think they are innacurate. "Conditions below are lists of what you will encounter at some point during the event with duplicates removed"

"Conditions below are lists of what you will encounter at some point during the event with duplicates removed" That would make sense but the one round I played doesn’t match up to what is listed on any of the four days. The 2nd round doesn’t either. Not complaining here but what is the point of the weather report if it’s not accurate?

When you look at a weather report days in advance of a golf event, you have an idea of what the event will bring, but you can't really know exactly. For me this replicates that fairly well. "The 2nd round doesn’t either." Like I said, don't look down a column thinking that matches a specific round exactly. It's a mix and match of what is listed.

Guess it was a bit confusing to me. Thanks for the explanation!

Speaking of leaderboard, will it update as soon as I play my first round? When I click on it nothing happens so I don’t see anyone’s scores yet.

From the shoutbox below: Doyley: Last week finalized now - everyone that currently has a tour card (Platinum excluded) including those just out of Qualifying are eligible to participate in the promotion event - we'll be setting up that field as soon as Tim's available. 4 hours ago
