Another high-quality rookie design! It’s great to see the contestants in this contest put out great products. I’ll post a card when I get the full playthrough done! Congrats!

Gday dude, not a bad course. Made me work for my score using the master difficulty. Good luck and hope to see more in the near future.

So, course got a lot of good exposure on both the Skagit PC society and the Jack Wagon society on all platforms. Really enjoyed watching various streamers playing their rounds on my course and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. (Albeit, there was a lot of tongue in cheek comments about how hard the course plays, but I'm fine with those since this was always intended to be a stern test.)
Thanks to all who've played the course and my second course is currently in progress in the play testing and finishing touches phase!

Gday dude, not a bad course. Made me work for my score using the master difficulty. Good luck and hope to see more in the near future. Thanks very much for the play through and feedback! I have to say, I saw 'not a bad course' and thought 'Man, that means I'm average at best with this design.' Then I watched the playthrough and realized you commented on some outstanding shots of your own by saying that it wasn't a bad shot. As well, the inflection in your voice changed the meaning for sure. It was very interesting to watch someone play with a very different club set and yardages that I'm used to playing and seeing. TBH, I was pleasantly surprised at how playable it was for you with a driver that gives up 20 yards plus to the main one on tour and a 3w that gives up over 30 yards. Watching your video, I swear I yelled at the screen that you'd shortened up your driver target on #9 and were going to hit it very fast. Plus, you could have aimed way farther right to get a much better distance in. Also, in reference to your commentary about the lob wedges out of the bunker - generally those much slower seeming swing speeds are because your intended aim marker isn't at 100%. The game will often times give you a less than 100% swing. The lower the percentage on the intended distance for that club and shot, the slower the swing speed will be. This is because the actual swing 'speed' - the time it takes to complete the swing from start to finish - is the same, but the swing animation is shorter because you're not going back as far. In practice, it can be hard to get used to for sure. A good bet is that when you shorten up the intended distance marker, it makes it significantly more likely to get a fast swing result. I know I play those short (Say 12 yards or so) lob splash shots out of the sand to be fast to very fast and aim well left of the target. If the shot or lie allow me to bring my intended distance marker out to the full 19 yards my LW splash goes, then I adjust my aim to only take lie, green slope and a touch of wind into account. I definitely enjoyed your video and am glad you enjoyed my course!

Great championship golf course. Very challenging, the Greens are very tough, and had a lot of creativity. Easily gets 5 stars from me. A lot of great golf holes. I liked the front nine more than the back and thought the front was the more difficult of the two nines. Only thing I would say for your second course is improve on making the sculpting of the greenside bunkers a little bit more realistic. Some of the slopes I felt were pretty severe. Maybe think grass hill flatter bunker which is very common. Otherwise everything looked really good. Excellent sight lines off the tee and all of the water you created looked perfect. Looking forward to playing your second course. Good luck in the contest.

i fired up my rusty ol' Links 2003 today... surprising, actually. i went to the old Links Corner website -- still active. new courses published today. it's so retro that it's still cool. if only the lobby would resurrect...

I streamed a playthrough with my judging notes this evening. I had a pretty insane round draining shots from everywhere, very entertaining. I had a blast. Your course starts around 2:08.

I'm not a fan of the tour version because of the lighting change, but I love this version. If I could give a couple of ideas for improvement, and I don't want to be harsh, I'd look more at bunker sculpting and sizing - I felt the bunkers were a little too big and some of the sculpting needed fine tuning. Good course though!
