Wow, I think I'm getting promoted. 3 Upticks = promotion right? If so my first.

lol wtf? did i miss a patch or something? felt like a completely different game
last week i was about to quit the game with frustration levels boiling over. (going E after 2 rounds) after a week of rest i decided to just play a round for the hell of it, ended up playing 3 rounds. swing was even worse than normal with hardly any straight shots, most of them fast (that i haven't even been able to do on purpose before)but then when aiming for it, i get my usual red slow.
But somehow when i got close to the greens everything dropped, and im used to putting and chipping being the worst part of my game, by a mile. So playing some of my worst golf, i still somehow got in with my best R1 score so far at 62
R2 was more of the same, but did miss 2 short straight putts this round coming in at 65 R3 more of the same for another 65 Slightly better play but not as lucky around the greens)

Not having a great time in the first round. Tempo is crap, don't know why either. Slow greens I don't like, keep leaving putts short. Now I've just gone splash on 16 with a normal fn swing that registered red slow, not the first time that's happened today either. WTF. Is anyone else having issues with flashing on the screen all the time?
I was -3 but will probably be lucky to be even after this rubbish. Nothing against the course itself however, I quite like it.

(CC-B) Steady steady with a -7, -8, -8 and was -6 on the front 9 in Rd4 before a stupid 4 putt on 10 and a slow into the water on the par 3 a couple of holes later. Scrambled back and holed out for eagle on 18 from the front bunker and ended -7 for a -30 total. Easiest course I've played this year so far but sooooo many missed medium length putts....was both over and under reading putts. Anyway, might scrape in a green mark if I'm lucky. Cheers and good luck all.

My second round started off positively with 3 birdies on holes 2-4, but was brought back down to earth with 3 bogies through holes 6-8. I managed one more birdie on the 12th and so many putts that I should've holed, it was a -1 round that could've been -6 if my putting was better.
Looks like another missed cut on CC-E but on the positive side at least I've got more time to practice on Acadia Club. Whether it'll be with 1 or 2 demotion marks is still unknown, but still enjoying the tour and I know a couple of tweaks will see me shooting lower.

-18 thru 2. Meh, certainly enough to make the cut I would think but not good enough to threaten the top 1 so far. Missed a bunch of very makeable birdie putts and wedge play was a bit off at times. There will certainly be some very low PS scores this week....and the odd XB one too. Played so bad Rs 3&4 but hopefully my -28 will be good enough for another promotion mark. Dont know what it was about those greens but I putted dreadfully in this event! So many makeable putts missed.

Man, Yanik's (CC-A) opening round of 54 -18 is exactly what I felt this course was capable of yielding when I first played it. Wish I could have capitalized more.
Not gonna lie, tbh I feel like this course is unfinished. It has very realistic, fair terrain (other than the weird cyst in the front left of the green on #9 par 5 lol) but I see more attention paid to planting around the clubhouse and not on the course. It's like they weren't quite ready yet to submit. But again,it plays very realistic, fair and fun (albeit probably a little too easy for a tour event) just wish it had a little more detail.

The course was absolutely fine, dont get me wrong, but I agree. It just didnt strike me as a 'tour worthy' course. Overall design just seemed far too basic at times. Couldnt help but think at times, hey this course isnt really any better than my own 2nd design effort Albedo. If this can get a place on tour I'd like to think Albedo could too, an approved only course but certainly not of the highest visual standard, just like this one.

I already played 3 rounds and the leader with just one round in has a better score!! I know this is a simple course and conditions were easy for R1, but man, 54?? Really? 16 birdies, 1 eagle and 1 par?
I almost birdied my first 5 holes, but a missed short putt on 4 and a bogey at 7 made me so angry I started to miss everywhere, I had 5 consecutive pars and ended up making birdie on 4 of the last 6 holes. First round 65 wasn't that bad, I new I had to go really low on R2 just to have a chance at a top 10, but that only put more pressure on my approaches and putting and finished with a 66.Maybe -13 will be enough to make the cut, but that's not what I imagined at the begining of R1.

I'll be playing the rest of round 2 today, did the first three holes yesterday. Hopefully I don't encounter the same stupid problems as yesterday with random flashing on the screen. I played one and a half rounds in another society last night without any of that crap

I know by now to just take my time setting up and taking practice swings until it happens. Annoying as hell for sure though.

This is the first time it's happened on a TGC Tours event back to the first exhibition events, and second time overall since I got the game in August. It'd just be nicer if when it does happen, it happens in other societies that I mainly play for practice rather than this one which I look forward to playing each week and treat more seriously. I'll be playing in the next hour, will be interesting to see if it continues. At first it just did it after the shot was hit but towards the end of the session it did it during the backswing and also during a putt, not helpful.

It seems like it's a timed thing, so I can either sit there and do nothing and wait till it happens or go through my normal pre shot routine and just make sure not to address the ball until it happens. Luckily I'm never waiting longer than like 10 seconds it seems. I don't play in other societies but I do play the Kinetic, Platinum and Elite events each week and so far it's happened in every CC event, and I think maybe in 1 or 2 Elite/Kinetic event.

That's gotta suck... I played the rest of the second round and 6 holes in the third today, and no flashing or whatever happened this time. Didn't really help me much though as I still had no tempo consistency. It feels as random as it did before whatever update it was that the putting was changed.

Funny..because of all the courses we've played this season thus far..this one is the only one that hammered the crap out of my FPS on PC. I struggled to have a consistent FPS throughout all my rounds and had drops all over, which makes it very hard to have consistent tempo. Only course this has happened to me on other than amped up Arctic Fury courses..which is to be expected because of the planting and detail. I thought it was my computer, but I backed out many times and fired up other courses and they ran smooth as butter. Happy to be done with this one
