For master difficulty, is it exactly the preset or master swing + custom for the rest? If it’s custom, any indication of what it will be? I want to get practicing It will definitely be a custom set - odds are power bar will be off. When you say power bar, do you mean the Distance Control Meter? I dont' see a "power bar" in the difficulty settings.

I was playing amateur and then pro difficulty working my way up until I saw that Doyley was setting up for master on all tours. So I changed to master and wow, did my shots go all over the place. I had lost my tempo. Then I remembered. If you're going to change difficulty, go back to the range and recalculate for the new tempo. I recalculated for master and it's a whole new world. Shots are now finding the fairway where they were finding nothing but cabbage.

(@bahn) yes he means 'Distance Control'. Same thing. ( PopsDadio'Doyle Rules) What about Legend Clubs? Data from exhibition events will dictate if legend has any hope of being used - will take a small miracle to move me off of 1 swing difficulty for the entire tour set. At best it'll be a pga option for either majors/WGC or if scores get out of hand and the majority prefer to go all out - I'd consider moving to it down the road. But out of the gate it'll most likely be master for the top tour too. Hard to pick 1 swing difficulty for the entire tour but I believe master to be the sweet spot. Blended difficulty wasn't appealing as people would promote out of their comfort zone and want to go back (similar to 2019 when pro swingers were forced to master). Best to remove that option right off the hop. Again it's very important to remember that I've had 3 weeks to come to this decision. Many of you will vastly improve by your third week and I think most will enjoy the competition and pressure the master swing will provide.

Why in the HELL do I do better on Legend than Master?! 😲😲
I'm not good at all, don't get me wrong. However, my good shots on Legend are MILES better than my goodies on Master.
I've made some tweaks that has me at a 1.95 modifier. Biggest ones were to turn green grids back on and Distance Control to "putting only". Other minor tweaks here and there, but I love it so far.
Played a few holes to see if I liked it and was -1 thru 7.
Played a round with Albert and was -3 after.
It's extremely fun! Reminds me of real golf. I make bad shots, sure, but the good shots feel rewarding. I also find my tempo a far bit better.
I won't be shooting -15 and such, but it's really nice to enjoy a tougher setup without wanting to rage.
I'll keep giving this custom set a go and I might even stick with it when the tours start back.
😊😊

Shots are now finding the fairway where they were finding nothing but cabbage. But we were told there was no difference in the difficulties as far as swings went. Only the cone for a perfect shot (and I'm guessing the penalty for missing it) were different. A perfect tempo shot on Pro would still be a perfect tempo on Legend.

I think that the distance meter is absolutely necessary. Note that even legend difficulty is activated.

Master swing with no power bar will make it IMPOSSIBLE for me and some other CC players to play. I will hit the stroke limit every time. I still use the flick the stick swing from TGC 1 where tempo did not matter and have never changed it and will never. I tried those settings and hit stroke limit on 10 holes in a row because I have no idea how far my putt is going to go. I pull back MAXIMUM backswing and then flick the stick forward as hard as I can.

@munier CC Players won't be obligated to play on Master difficulty. Thats only for P, E, & K leagues.

It's a new game with new mechanics. Adaptation is necessary.
