Hi guys, i have other questions / problems to solve : 1) I'm changing some hole on my course and, for this reason, i need to add a pair of fairway bunkers in a pair of holes. What i noticed is that if i use the splines, then i can't add a strip of rough around of bunkers. The fairway covers everything. But, if i use a form to create the bunker, then a little strip of light rough it appears. But is really little. Now..If i delete the bunker and then i recreate it using a more little form, the strip of rough will be bigger or it will be always adapted to the bunker's borders? And..There is some setting to add light rough on fairway using splines for bunkers? 2) There is some way to playtest my course changing wind direction and speed? 3) In your experience, what it could be a good basic setting for the daylight, working more or less nicely in any daytime condition? 4) I suppose this is a pretty stupid question (more than usual, i mean ) but..There is a way to cut off an entire hole or a portion of terrain to move it somewhere else? thank you..as always

1. If you've built your fairway with an auto-filled spline, you'll have to redo your fairway edge to navigate around the bunker so that you can add rough. If you've built your fairway using brushes, or by using brushes to manually fill in a spline, then you can sink the land surrounding the bunker using the SCULPT command (red brushes) which prevents fairway and green surfaces from being laid down.
2. When choosing a course to play a round on, one of the filter options is "My Unpublished Courses". You can play your course in any of the pre-set wind conditions. You cannot modify wind while playtesting in the designer.
3. I prefer adjusting the inclination down to something low - under 20 degrees - so that I get long shadows at any time of day.
4. You can copy a group of brushes, but you can't bring over splines or sculpting. I find it easier to just redo it all, as needed.

Guys...today i changed home. i returned to my old house and to my old pc, in another town. And..well..in this pc my course it doesn't exists. Simply. Same profile, same steam account, same everything..but the course is not here. I am incredibly sad. I spended the last month working on it (only on the other pc in the other house) and now i have lot of free time (finally!!!) but it seems the course it is only into that other pc.
Is not an absurd drama..when the quarantine here will be over, i should come back there..but i will work again and i'll be not alone anymore..and for sure i'll have not so many tine as i could spend now. Is really a shame cause i really wish to finish it in these weeks.
Do you know if there is a way to let it appears also in this pc? There is something i could do to recover it? (my girl is still using that other pc and if there is something to do, she could do it for me, i mean.)

You just have to get your friend to go into her PC to the following folder: C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\LocalLow\2K\The Golf Club 2019\Courses and she will find files in there with any courses you have designed. Just have her attach the one you want to an e-mail and send it to you. When you receive it then just go to that same location on you computer and put the file there. Hope this helps. Let us know if you need anything else.

But, too be honest, i searched it too, in my pc..but i can't find it. I also typed in the "search file" section the name of a course i started here on this pc (named just "new course"), to discover what the right filder is, but i can't find anywhere a file with this name. Now i'm checking almost every folder in my pc related with the game (and, in fact, with steam), but i can't find nothing that sounds like the right place. I have windows 10. It can affects the whole thing in some way?

Open the "File Explorer" and go to the "view" tab as shown in the screenshot below: Where you see the red circle make sure that box is checked. Then go to the "options" on the right side shown with the arrow and select "Change folder and search options" That will bring up the window shown below: Select the "view" tab shown by the red arrow and then make sure the "show hidden files, folders, and drives" radio button is selected. You should be able to find the "App Data" folder (or whatever they name it in Italian) now. Good luck, and if you need more help you can also PM me Ezzino - you have always been helpful to me.

A pair of questions, as usual. And..as usual..they are 3 silly questions, almost surely. 1) I suppose that the image of the course it depends by the point in which you save the work, but...actually i still can't understand depending on what the pic changes or not, cause sometimes (very often, in fact), the same pic stays for many, many saves. Then it changes, but sometimes showing a pic from a pretty old save. I miss something? 2) On some hole, despite my first waypoints from the tee is placed more or less at the exact distance covered by the driver (or the correct needed club, anyway), and with the "correct" main line to follow, when i playtest the hole the game gives me a 2I by default. Furthermore, about this i must say that, at the very start workin on this course, this was happening on every single hole. Then, with no need to do anything in particular to solve the issue, suddenly it started to give me the correct in more or less every hole, but a pair. There is something i can do..or, again, something i'm missing? 3) There is a way to save my work on another copy? If i go in the folder where the file is and try to make a copy, possibly slightly changing the name, it would work? I wish to use alternate saves...After 7 weeks of passionate work, it would be terrible to lose everything, but i can't find an option to make a copy. Thank you as always, guys

It is the same for me and I have no idea why it happens. 2) On some hole, despite my first waypoints from the tee is placed more or less at the exact distance covered by the driver (or the correct needed club, anyway), and with the "correct" main line to follow, when i playtest the hole the game gives me a 2I by default. There is something i can do..or, again, something i'm missing? No idea on this one also, it is not something I am familiar with.3) There is a way to save my work on another copy? If i go in the folder where the file is and try to make a copy, possibly slightly changing the name, it would work? I wish to use alternate saves...After 7 weeks of passionate work, it would be terrible to lose everything, but i can't find an option to make a copy. The best way in my opinion is to go into the course folder (on your PC, not while in the game) and copy the course file into another folder you make inside the "The Golf Club 2019" folder; I call mine "course storage". That way if you want to go back to a previous version you can just move the stored one back into your courses folder.
Thank you as always, guys :D

Thank you as always, guys Don't know how that first one works. I guess the important thing is that it saves the course in the first place. As long as you have a decent amount of fairway to hit where the waypoint is set and you have fairway or green surface for a tee box laid down, it should give you the correct club. Most of the time I see this happen when I don't have a tee box made yet as that's one of the last things I do when designing. You could possibly publish the course as is under some obscure name, then make as many copies of it as you want to edit.

You could possibly publish the course as is under some obscure name, then make as many copies of it as you want to edit. I understand why designers on consoles would have to do this Joe, but using a PC like Ezzino my method avoids cluttering up the HB course list with courses that aren't intended to be played and will stay there forever. If HB would give us a method of removing our own courses from the list that would be great but til then. . . .

sandsaver01 lessthanbread thank you guys, as always Do you know..you're right. The issue with the clubs is totally solved making the tee. Or at least it seems to be solved. About the other point, yes..i imagined that this was the best solution to make a copy of my course..i'll do it! Anyway..is exactly as i expected it would be : this thing of design courses is a f***ed drug. Is more or less by 2 months that i think about this course (how to realize it, to solve graphic or playability problems, to learn new things of every kind etc..) and even when i'm doing something else, i think about it. If i find a way to finish this course (between the list of RCRs and the other things to do IRL, i still can't spend the time i wish on it, although the quarantine helps a lot..), i wish to learn how to use Lidar and to create some RCR too. But first i must finish this beast.
