Started my next project a couple days ago. Basically only have the front nine routed, and basic beginnings of Hole #1 in the works. Wanted to get the WIP thread started. Hopefully this one won't take me as long as the first...LOL! ~Drnk (Mike)

Did some work on the WIP today...here are a few screenshots to share...these are all of the beginnings of Hole #3: Here's a little bit of an overhead shot of the hole: This will be the view from the back tee: View of the green if taking the basic approach on the left: A view of the right approach, which will be very difficult to reach in the wrong winds, but will provide you with a downhill and a clean view of the green in favorable conditions: Thanks for stopping by...I also occasionally stream on Twitch while designing, so feel free to stop by and check out some of my design streams on my Twitch channel (below) anytime... Futzed around today and I'm pretty happy with how Hole #4 is coming along... Tee Shot Preview: Approach Shot Preview: Side View Overhead: Reverse View Overhead: I hope to get similar progress on Holes 5 & 6 tomorrow, but we'll see how it goes... ~Drnk (Mike)

I like the look of this so far. Just an opinion, I would take those rocks out and just let the natural terrain and sculpting set the scene with the added bushes. Sink trees to add some contrast where the rocks are currently.

Holes 5 & 6 are about 80% done...I'm pretty much saving final countouring and planting to the end, with some in between to break up the monotony... Hole #5 Approach Shot: Hole #6 Approach: More to come soon... ~Drnk (Mike)

I was thinking the exact same thing as lessthanbread - the natural terrain is so good, you don't need the jarring of the big rocks. Also worry that your option on 2 is maybe a bit too forced? Really hard to do split fairways and make them natural, so maybe one that comes together when you do the little bits at the end. Looking good though - that look on 6 is just lovely.

Noted, and thank you for the feedback, gentlemen (and I agree completely lessthanbread & b101). I removed the rocks, but I'm not sure what you meant about the split fairways on #3 b101... ~Drnk

And, if you liked the view from #5, b101...you might really like the tee shot off of #8 that I just got today (still have to tweak it and place a bunker or two though... ~Drnk
