Thought I might have gotten the elusive Aceatross in R1 H9, but alas, just a short eagle putt. I went through the data among PGA players who have put in at least 36 holes per week since this season began, and I found that I have slightly below average FIR and GIR stats, but my putts per hole stats were something like 121st out of 123 players who qualified with enough rounds. I think I found my problem!
So I took more time to look at putts and then somewhere around the 7th hole or so in R2 I had something 'click' in my putting technique that might help me going forward. Was -2 thru 9 on the front 9 in R2 and then was -7 across the back 9 of that round. I'll take any hint of improvement at this point. -12 and -9 for a -21 through two. Good luck to those yet to play and to those with rounds yet to finish.

I thought it was a par 4 in R1 until I looked back. ha!

Really enjoyed the four rounds this week. The bush thing on the Par 3 has no effect, but it is pretty strange. As someone who just designed a course that I thought PGA players would enjoy, I realize the struggle is real and you can't make everyone happy. Was a tough but fair challenge for me and that included poor play on the front 9 in round #4. I really struggled with hitting the fairway on #17, and never learned in any round. The only pin that really got me was the 72nd hole. That one is just pure nasty as I bailed out left and couldn't hold a flop on that green even at moderate speeds. All the way down she goes! Staring at easy birdie, and end up with bogey left a sour taste that could only be washed away by a Maui Coconut Porter.
-14 -10 -10 -9

Oh, and I don't know what hole it is (12?), but I felt the best line was to play an iron off the tee onto a different green to give me a straight shot to the pin. In round #4 my tee shot carried through the green into the stands. I had no forward play from there, and had to chip back onto the green I wanted to hit on my tee shot. Long story short my 3rd shot ended about 30 feet away, and I drained that snake for par. Probably isn't the best line to take on that hole. LOL.

Best way to play the hole and in the tourney version hes blocked the line with a grandstand so have to re think๐

I came to the same conclusion. Best way to play the hole and in the tourney version hes blocked the line with a grandstand so have to re think๐ Left trigger + left d-pad or non-swing-analog stick to left + aim right. This is called a draw, and it looks something like this (artist rendering):

I had a nice round. Felt I had to really concentrate and execute off the tee, which was different, I found it appealing. Felt like disaster was always impending. I made some really horrendous shots, the results of a couple of slows and one very slow where I was trying to be so careful that all aggression was lost and I simply didn't push the damn stick hard enough. The difference this round was that I scrambled out of possible disaster. So a -15 round 1 for me and a tip of the cap to the designer cat. I am surprised at my score, I am surprised at the low scores posted, cause damn, it didn't feel easy doing it. Enjoy!

Green in hole 12 has branches on it. That's a bug, but I think it doesn't affect gameplay.
Pin setting 2 for hole 6 is a nightmare hahaha

Playing the Euro event as a bit of practice makes me yearn for the days we had joint top tours tbh.
Whilst we're worrying that our ball is going to bounce 30 yards right into the wasteground plonked smack bang into the middle of the fairway the euro guys are playing a quality RCR that has been setup to be plenty challenging with zero trickery. Kudos to anyone who can shoot -18 over there this week.
I get that it's different strokes for different folks. Sometimes tracks like this are fun to play. But can't help but wonder if we've become so desensitized to the fantasy stuff that it would take an actual windmill on the green before some eyebrows were raised.
