Hi all,
Excuse me if this is common knowledge but I stumbled across a truck to get perfect paths and thought I should share it in case anyone out there’s struggling (like I was) with it.
I’ve found that if you take the fuzziest blue brush and expand it a little wider than your path width.
Then hold down the button and follow the path all the way along.
This gives you a perfectly smooth path that will still follow the large contours of the land.
It’s really quick as well!

Thanks Pat, I’ll probably need this trick for Austin Country Club when I get close to publishing.

No worries mate, I'm sure a lot of people are thinking "has this guy only just figured that out" lol but it's really helped me do the links style paths up hills as you can see here. If I can save someone the trial and error it's worth posting I hope

If I can save someone the trial and error it's worth posting I hope I can use all the help I can get. As much as I have learned about the designer, I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface. Every little tip helps me get better at doing RCR’s. Now if I could only work faster.

I did this a lot on surtsey island, only thing I would say is using the next less fuzzy round brush is slightly better as it should take fewer passes. I just make it so the white covers the path and zoom along. The paths on surtsey run up and down a mountain too so a bit of a baptism by fire for me but I feel much more confortable withs paths now.
