This week we stay in the Bahamas where we play Sabal Sands by ryanmcconnell . I thought with it being Christmas week, I would give ye guys a treat. When I went to visit this course a few months back, I was very impressed with how smooth everything was, straight flat fairways, greens as flat as ice. So contracts were signed, course fees handed over and away I went. When I arrived this week for a final inspection, I was shocked. The ground staff obviously took the money and went on the piss. The course looked like it had bubonic plague, lumps and bumps everywhere, red lines oozing from the greens, it was horrifying . But it was to late to change courses. I was also promised that this part of the Bahamas was to calmest part of the Bahamas with the wind never stronger than a gentle breeze, why do I get the feeling that might also not happen, oh well, such is like, good luck and have fun. Also, my fellow Kornholers, I want to wish you all a happy Christmas. I hope you all have a wonderful few days.

Hi all,
Played my first round, hoping to have a better start than last week and possibly get rid of that red thingy I scored. Bogey on the front nine but I kept calm and got it to -5 halfway through the back nine and then one of the greens decided to show me I am not ready for the pro tours... 😂😂😂
-4
I need a stellar second round now, which I will get, of course, no doubt... 😂😂😂😂
Best wishes to all, Frans

Second round: one bogey, one putt from the fringe straight into the pin and then staying out of the hole looking at me like “I know I should drop but I won’t!” and several putts shaving the hole... -6
-10 halfway and after three weeks here it is clear I am not good enough... will keep on trying though!!
Best wishes Frans

Keep at it, you are here because you are good enough to be here. It can be very up and down on the pro tours, missing cuts is normal, very few people go through the season with out missing some. Last month I was one bad week away from demotion, the past four events, I made just one cut, but that one cut I made was a top 5. It can all change very quickly here, week after week on the leaderboard you see people with red marks, climbing the leaderboard. It is competitive here but no one person dominates. Keep playing, keep trying and you will have those good weeks as well.

Chin up Frans you’ll get there, we’re a frustratingly inconsistent bunch on the KF Tour, you’ve competed on the TST and made cuts. My advice, not that you’re asking - practice the weak area of your game, like real golf it will show results

It's one of those where there are very fine margins between a good shot and a putt from hell! Slippery little monkey.
I'm through 2 rounds. First one I missed easy birdie putts on 1 and 2, got a couple on 3 and 4, and that was that for a while. I drove the ball great but kept on getting on the wrong side of slopes, 8 pars in a row for an underwhelming -2 thru 12. Then it all kicked off! Birdie, birdie, eagle, eagle and just like that I'm -8 with 2 to play. 17 then ruined it, I hit an approach which was millimeters from being a tap in birdie but just caught the edge of the front slope and rolled back in to the rough. First chip then ended up back at my feet, in the end had to hole a half decent bogey putt. Par at the last after a VF in to a different post code, finished with a 64.
Second round I was on it on the front 9 and reached the turn at -7, if you can get on the right side of the slopes there's scores to be had! Disappointed not to break 60 from there, 17 did me again this time lipping out a birdie putt at snail's pace.
64 and 60 for -18 at half way. I think that's a decent second round but hard to say without much to compare it to. Certainly the wind and course conditions are not too taxing over those first 2 rounds. What's been the difference for me over the last few weeks is I've had none of those disaster holes and very few dropped shots, hopefully that'll stand me in good stead here again.
Good luck all!

Nice play Jamie, I’ve only seen the course via Jimgem’s play through and it doesn’t scream easy. Doubt I’ll be out this week as we’ve got a house full of people over. Enjoy and control that tempo!

I played better in round 1 than I expected. 2 Humphs but 10 chripies, that Humphrey on the par 5 16th tho....INFURIATING!!
Still, if I can hold my composure in round 2 I might make that elusive first cut.
Onward!

Changed my putter, so surely next week will be better! 😉

Underestimated the fairway slopes too many times. Quite a few birdies, but a couple of bogies to ruin a decent result. -7 on 1st. -7 on 2nd as well which probably means no demo mark at least.
Nice looking course and som nice greens, but not to big a fan of those fairway bumps...

Should have shut my stupid mouth about no blow up holes! Round 3 hole 2, misjudged the wind off the tee, then hit a terrible flop out the bunker, then 3-putted for a double. I was so proud. Mostly played quite well from there, but man these slopes can bite! By the mid point of round 4 I'm eying up the top spot on Xbox and then 12 happened. Brutal pin if you're in the wrong place, triple bogey. No more eying top spot. Hit a few head scratching slows in this round, the worst on 18 where I'm actually telling myself not to hit one, obviously did and find myself under that walk way to the right of the green. Happy days! 64, 60, 64, 67 for -29. Not totally convinced -18 will make the cut, if it does it'll be virtual McDonalds with by my virtual winnings. Have a great Christmas everyone! Little 5 day or so break from this game for me, probably a good thing

looking at another weekend off. Round 2 started with 10 straight pars, nothing would drop or I could not get close enough to have a decent putt. Did get to 4 under then dropped one on 18, the bitterness OH! the bitterness.
-11 halfway.
Taxi!
Onward.

Almost did not play this week. Suddenly just got absolutely dead tired of this game after stumbling through 2 Dirtbag rounds on Monday. Decided to take a break, yay. Today is Krismis and suddenly thought, might as well play a round of golf seeing as there is no work today.
Santa came to the party. Handing out cool presents. And then got drunk, peed in the punch and passed out on the kitchen floor. He went home all snoring in the back of a wheelie bin rolling down the hill. And it is a steep hill.
Round 1, Santa obliged and gave a -14. Wooooot! Round 2, not too shabby -11. Round 3, -8. Meh. Last round a 50% gir, 2x bogey -4. Lost my sense of humour somewhere and fetched the wheelie bin.
I kinda enjoyed the course. Looked lovely, made the play interesting and fun. And sometimes just kicked one in the nuts when one took things for granted.
Merry Christmas everyone!
