I remember playing some back in TGC1. Some really great tracks for sure. Glad to see you back designing Tyler. SMIFFYLFC79 please get it in the rotation ASAP on Pure Aces

Wow, this course looks a bit mean.
I'll give it a go for sure.

smudge22 It is a bit mean lol. Curious if others think it may be too hard. I think I should have flattened some greens possibly, but I love the way it plays from the tee. Willing to potentially work on some things and republish.

A bit mean is what made your TGC1 courses so great. I'm looking forward to trying it

What a brutal course, but that's what made it so fun. Excellent work on the layout here and truly making you think before you swing your club. Positioning, positioning, positioning is so very key on this course. The driver was always a risky play throughout the course and a slightly skewed line meant a very tough second shot. The greens were brutal if your aim wasn't accurate but very fair and rewarding if the ball landed where you intended. I had a 2 wood in the bag and wished I had a 3 wood.
So to anyone reading this and using master clubs, bring a 3 wood!
Overall, great looking course and one of the most unique designs and layout I have seen in awhile. I can definitely tell that you took your time crafting this and worked on every inch of the landscape. I look forward to your next course!

I’m glad you enjoyed it and thought it was a fair enough challenge. The tee shots are what stands out the most I think because it really requires precision and if you miss fairways, you’re going to struggle. Appreciate the feedback.

I don’t normally bash a course, because I don’t have the skill to design and I know how much work can be put into a course.
Today I make an exception. This course is suitable only for arcade golf. It doesn’t play anything like a real course. It feels set up for pro club users with all aids turned on. Difficult tee shots are made harder because artificial obstacles are placed in such a way that, although the overhead map indicates there may be choices off the tee, there really aren’t. The designer forces you into one play and one play only.
Yes, it is a hard course. Yes, it is a severe test of your video golf controller skills. But as a test of GOLF, it fails miserably.
It is pretty to look at, though.

The designer forces you into one play and one play only. Yes, it is a hard course. Yes, it is a severe test of your video golf controller skills. But as a test of GOLF, it fails miserably. It is pretty to look at, though. Would've never recommended someone going into this course TST style, especially for your first time. And my posts also made it pretty clear that this is a video game golf challenge. I've made some courses that are more realistic in difficulty, but if I did that all the time, the best players would mindlessly shoot 56. When I design courses on here, I'm doing it with the goal to host a PGA Tour tournament and challenge the best players on the game. FWIW, I used to redesign my courses on TGC1 for TST play and I did enjoy that, but not sure I have the time for it anymore. I do disagree with the forcing you to play one way thing though. I'll even go through the drives, because I think that's where this course excels despite being narrow. #1: You can hit 3 wood short of the fairway bunker or hit driver left or right of it depending on wind and shot shape. Also keep in mind angle into the current pin. #2: 3 wood down the middle will be the safe play, or you can try to cut a driver around the edge if you're wanting to go for it in 2. #4: Straight forward driver puts you in position to go in 2. #5: 3 Wood short of the bunkers is safe play again, just like #1 you can hit driver left or right of bunkers depending on all factors. #6: Straight forward driver, sloped fairway right to left. #7: Can try to hook a driver around the trees to reach the green off the tee or hit a simple driving iron down the middle to leave a short iron in. #8: Split fairway gives you a forced carry driver to the left if you want that angle or a straightforward drive to the right #10: Driver down the middle left is usually fine unless there's downwind, then you can hit 3 wood or try to cut off the edge on the right side with driver #12: Straight forward driver #13: Sets up like 13 at Augusta, can draw a driver around the corner to set up for a go in 2 or you can hit 3 wood safely. #14: The only forced layup on the course. Hit a simple 3 wood usually #15: Another tricky par 5 drive where a shaped shot is usually needed with driver. 3 wood is safe again. #17: Straight forward drive with right to left fairway #18: Straight forward drive with right to left fairway So again, completely understand it being too hard, I said that myself. But that's mainly because the green complexes are extremely tricky. I think it plays fun and tough from the tee, driver is always an option outside of one hole, but many times it's a risk-reward play. There isn't a single hole where you can't drop one club back and have a straightforward drive down the middle. But I'd never recommend playing a course for the first time on this game without aids, not enough information. I can remember playing courses IRL for the first times by myself and being completely lost on what to do off the tee usually. Just how it is.

I enjoyed it myself. Didn't shoot too well. I tried the hook 2-3x to the green and failed on #7. Tight landing areas. Tough test for sure. PGA Tour worthy

People actually complain about a video game course playing like a video game. If they cant shoot a 54 every time something must be wrong with the design.
Jesus Christ.
