Hi all,
Now I'm working on the TGC 2019 version of a former Links 2003 course of mine : Broken Arrow Championship Course. As always, this is not a flat course, that's my fate...
This par 70 7200 yds course plays up down and between wooded valleys with good alternation of short an longer holes. Three par 4 are around 500yds, mostly downhill. The 18th is played from the advanced tees to make it a difficult par 4 instead of an easy par 5.
If some you you have the courage, you can test the course under the name DB-tst-BACC01. Feel free to spot of the bad or unfair places, it'll be a great help.
Here is a first preview of the course showing the club-house from the far end of the course, behind the 10th green. As the course do not come back home at the 9th, you see the 1st and 18th next to the club-house, the 10th 11th fairways in front, the 9th green is slightly visible beyond the 10th tees.
More news and previews will come soon.

I gave the front 9 a run through and noticed a few things, some of this is my preference so it's up to you if you take it on board or not. I think the light rough around the tees is quite big and could do with being took in a bit. I also noticed the first 5 holes are all elevated greens and a few of the greens have a steep slopes at the edges. Some of the sculpting can be smoothed out a bit for instance the hill at the front of the 5th green. I liked the layout of the 4th hole although I'm not sure about the bunkers at the landing area, maybe have a cluster of bunkers instead of one big bunker. I'm guessing you are going to add a bunker at the front of the 3rd green, as I think that would add something to the hole. I wouldn't worry to much about the heavy rough around the holes, I would stick with the natural terrain. I like the view from the first tee especially the trees in the background, and think it has been well done through the 9 holes. I would take away the random bushes and grass dotted about and plant small clusters of bushes, trees and grass even throw in a few rocks. I'd make sure you can see the landing area from each tee and any hazards that the player might hit off the tee.
As I said that's just my thoughts, take from it what you want and I hope I've helped in some way.

Thank you for our time and thought, Wolfie. I have worked on some of your points as there is a lot of work left to get the course to a decent point of release. I must admit that the bunkering still question me as I find there is not unity. It's not absolutely required but I like some bunkering theme on my courses. Cleaning the bushes and weeds too close to the course is also in the schedule. As for the blind tee shots, I always put some on my courses, at least semi-blind. I sometimes like to puzzle the player on the tee with uncertain aim or visual illusions. In this vain, the 11th tee gives the view of a straight hole though it is a left-to-right dog-leg. The 9th is in fact the only blind tee shot but with a clear and rather safe driving axis. To end, here is a top view of the course. As I do not pay for the land, I take whatever I need to assume my fantasies. IRL, my routings would be far more tight... Dominique

This update to inform you that the last test course has been released. I've corrected all that was pointed, at least what I found relevant. I've mostly work on bunker shapes and elevations so they please me more now.
No big routing changes have been made except two tees : on the first I built a champ tee just next to the putting green making the hole playing some 10-15 yds longer (see the picture below). On the 17th I pushed the champ tee some 10 yds back because the driver was too easy to play then. Now you have to think a little more on this tee. Some minor look and features have been reworked to make the course smoother and reasonably natural.
I've set the course default hour next to dusk to make you better see the elevations. Let me know of you find some weird places, unfair pins, etc. Thank you for your help
