Is it weird that I generally prefer the "before" pictures? They're not as dramatic, sure, but the lighting feels less harsh. I actually do too, especially on mine where I was kind of going for that soft light feeling. Your before is definitely better

I dont play around with little "photo editors" I work in Photoshop suites, Lightroom, Aurora 18 and 19, Luminar 2, 3, and next week 4 etc etc etc When I create photos I do it this way :

Seriously, this looks dreadful. If you need to photoshop your course to make it look good, then it probably needs more time in the designer. This colour correction looks super washed out with way too dark shadows.

Wow this works great!!! Before: After: Honestly though, some of the edited pictures look really good, some of them look too "edited". I think it has something to do with whatever base lighting you're working with. Some of the shadows and contrasting colors look too cartoon-like.

I usually leave the pics as is. I figure the creator wanted that lighting (default) so that's what I post. That said, I have tweaked some if I felt it was just too dark. But, mostly you get what you create.
