Driver came out on the 10th hole of Round 1 after i missed a 13 footer for par.
Swing had malfunctioned in every possible way up to that point - wonkiness, slow back swing, very slow downswing, fast downswings. Too much fade, too little draw. Missed nearly every fairway and half of the greens.
And missed every putt that wasn't a tap in.
But tbh, i'm kind of grateful i don't have to play 3.5 more rounds of that. Full on Tiger Woods 04 silliness. And i bet there were two rounds of very firm and a hurricane to come aswell.
Have fun folks

Played amazingly well in round 1 was 16 under standing on the 18th tee, good drive middle of fairway, between clubs for my approach to the green - went for the fast downswing and the game gave me a 9 o'clock very fast into the water π π π double bogey for an opening -14
Round 2 was going ok but not great then I suddenly forgot how to putt over the last 5 holes -5 round for -19 at the cut.

Not a fan. Too fictional for me. Missed cut probably. Donβt care. Nice waterfall.

Went off flying with a - 15 in round 1.
Had problems with the swing in the 2nd round. Made two mental errors and two bogeys on the way to a -7.
Not sure if that is enough for the cut.

I refused to even start the thread on this course (which I normally do every week) - it is quite easily the worst GOLF course we have ever played. Usual stuff from arcticfury - looks beautiful, but plays like utter shiiitttt (with the exception of Olympus Grand - which was / is great at both). Quite possibly some of the worst designed holes (playability wise) in the game on this course though.
Played out all four rounds in speed golf mode - think I was -16 at the cut and -32 total - but really don't GAF.
Terrible choice.
I'm normally the first person to say 'stop playing boring realistic / RCR courses' - but if this is the type of fantasy course that replaces them - then PLEASE let us play some (good) RCR's. You want tough and tricky - give us Pine Valley Lidar for example. At least it's a quality golf course. I'm not into windmills and Mickey's mouth to aim through.....
(rant over)

One of the best looking golf courses in this game bar none. I played a practice round yesterday and love the challenge even though scores will be -50 for the win I'm sure.

Really had to do a double take when I saw this was Arctic Fury. He sets the bar so high, but this one just did not do it for me. At least the greens were fun (/slightly ridiculous), which kept me interested after a horrible -5 start. Rain man-ned a -13 in Rd 2 so I'll be sweating the cut for sure (will likely miss). With that in mind...everyone feel free to take a pass this week so I can clear my strikes π

After a couple of dog$hit weeks had 2 good rounds to start and will get rid of that demotion mark. Had -14 and then -10. Had a silly bogey on one hole in Round 2 and also went for one of the driveable Par 4's with the big sloping hill in front and down the fairway. Was aiming for a fast swing and got it but but went too far left and down into the drink. Was able to salvage par. Playing a practice round knew it could happen so shame on me. Enjoyable course like I said and see a -51 already in the clubhouse which I am sure will be surpassed. No need to get on every Par 5 in 2 and you have to actually think your way around the course. I guess -60 needs to be had to stop the bellyaching

Probably should have played a practice round on this course...
Had a few lucky bounces on the front 9 including this which would have been the first ever in a tournament and second one ever overall since TGC1
That got me to -10 thru 9. Then shot even par on the back....

God bless, I shot -49 again. I'm gonna lose my F****** Mind. Oh well, the course doesn't belong on the PGA. I did have fun and like the course but it has no place here.

If this was Sesame Street I would have the right answer for which of these courses just doesn't belong on PGA.By far the most fictional course I've played that I can remember on PGA.
Echoing what some previously have said I thought right away of Predator from the Tiger woods series and tgc2.A fun course for a pro am or charity event I suppose. Also shocked to hear it was an AF course but it sure was "interesting"
Played a few practice holes and was -5 thru 4 when I decided to play for real.Of course when the lights are on I start off -1 after 4 and didn't make better than par on the first hole par 5 for at least 3 rounds. Then go -11 for the next 10 before limping in - 1 for the final 4 holes.Still I will take -13.
Then round two and my tempo goes to complete shiiiiit.69% DA and 55% GIR.A slow ds on 7 with water right drowns and leads to a double.Next hole par 5 I clip a tree and drop straight down and trickle again down some hill into water and bogie ending the f9 with a brutal -2.Started to think Jackos driver off the green on 10 wasn't a bad idea but took a deep breath, hit the pipe and stumbled home with -7 for -20 at the cut and again will be tight to make it if at all.
Round 3 an eagle on 8 quickly evened out by a slow ds off the tee on 9 hitting the bank on the right of the fairway only to watch it carom 90% left and bounce, bounce, roll through the fw onto the walkway and into the water left for another lost ball.-11 for that round and probably losing ground if it counts.
Round 4 once again a slow ds on 9.Rinse and repeat from round 3 as it finally comes to rest in the water left.Thought I hit a really good shot into one of the par 5's landing on the upslope of the green and getting to within 5,6 feet of the hole only to watch it head back south and down the very false front 28 yards away.Almost aced 17 and almost holed out on 18 both just burning the hole and hit -12 and left plenty out there. -43 for the tournament.
With 5 par 5's and at least 2 driveable par 4's I can see close to -60 winning here if people haven't raged quit before that.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the event this week, but that's never stopped anyone...
I haven't really kept an eye on my WGR for some time, mostly because there's no need - I know I'm just plummeting down the ladder. BUT, after a solid finish last week, I thought "OK, well should have at least held my place, right?" Upon checking I've dropped down again, getting passed by Mr. David Brown. I thought "Oh, well he must have played great last week," so I went and checked the final leaderboard. I finished P6, he missed the cut, but still leaped me in WGR? Not that it really matters, I'm on an inevitable slide down somewhere into the 20's at best, but how can someone who finished P6 get leaped in WGR by someone who missed the cut that same week? Anyone out there know enough about the system to make sense of that one for me?
