Can I run fairway into a bunker without the thin strip of rough appearing around the edge?? Thnx.

Yes, I believe you have to spline the bunker. However, I also believe that only works for bunkers surrounded by all fairway. Secondly, I'm almost new to the designer.

I know for sure if you spline a bunker completely surrounded by fairway it will not have a strip of rough. I don't think it would be different if there's rough on one side

There’s no need to completely surround the bunker in fairway, any fairway surface that comes into contact with the spline of the bunker will run to the edge of the bunker with no rough in between.

Yes, splines are your friend. I use this method for fairway pot bunkers - well, as close as the game will allow you to make pot bunkers.
