Just in case -16 cracks the cut line, I played 3 & 4. Nothing spectacular. I seemed to have played each round between -7 and -9. I did have two holes in a row that I put it into the hole from 42 and 60+ yards for eagle birdie and then just missed an ace on the next par 3....putted fairly well.
Not a fav course of mine.

Round 3 did my head in to say the least. Shot 16 under in a practice round so couldn't wait to get at it. The non existent wind in the practice was a gale at times in the tnmnt round. Swung well just like the practice, knew what shots to play but somehow struggled to a miserable 7 under, probably one of the worst rounds in the top 60. More than a little pissed off..

Despite a few screamed obscenities at putts which should have been made, but weren't, -23 at the halfway mark - no complaints on score or general playing form, which is a nice development. Felt pretty damn comfortable with the swing all the sudden, funny how that feel ebbs and flows, caught it at the right time this week I guess - at least for the first 2 rounds.
Anyway, generally speaking, pretty micky mouse course compared to what I'd expect for a semi-plausible-real-golf-course (see 14 green, for reference). Not a complaint, just something that I'd like to file in the "I thought this was the PGA tour within a structure which has set out to emulate the irl professional golf tour structure" folder.
GL for all left to have a go at making the cut, have fun!

First event on the big boy tour, after a promotion from the euro this week. She’s going to be tough out here I can see already. Tough course, played about as well as I possibly could. Shot -45 with no chip ins or hole outs, just a lot of good long approaches and putt well. Looking forward to life on the PGA, she’s gonna be a grind.

Why was rd 2 just as hard as rd 1? I found myself asking this. The most extreme conditions possible in rd1 and relatively benign by comparison in r2 and i shoot -9/-9 for -18. Good score in r1, underwhelming in r2.
R2 was just one of those where I couldn’t leave myself a straight putt to save my life. Even 10 footers can be daunting when they have as much sideways movement as they do distance to the hole. Mix in a couple tempo issues and it was a challenging round.
I was confident from the moment I turned in the scores that it would make the cut based on the r1 -9 being safely ahead of the curve and the same score in r2 not great but not catastrophic. It does appear that it will be safe. This is good, surprisingly I haven’t missed a cut so far this season. Gotta see how far I can take that.

Can't see how it will be a grind for you if you've just come up from Euro and shot -45 in your first Pga tnmnt. That's close to a top 10 score. Add in a few lucky chip- ins and who knows what's possible..

That'll be a missed cut for me. I'm happy with that, gives me less reason to load up this POS of a game and gives me more time with The Outer worlds on PC, which is a very good game.
Garbage like this doesn't help, if the line stops at 100% (as it should) rather than carrying on, then I'll most likely have a very good look at birdie instead of a 22 footer with 8 feet of break.

Microcosm of the full-swinging medium player’s plight. Welcome to the club!

Played ok at times in the 2nd round, but just wanted to get it over with after a double on the 12th in the first round and then seeing that monstrosity of a 14th hole. -5 and -9 and I'm left with that weird feeling where I'm kind of glad about the MC because I can be done with it.

I look forward to the challenge.

Sweared a lot, blamed stuff which had nothing to do with it and wondered how my luck could be so bad- back to normal after a couple of great weeks!

Ha! At least yours stays in the cone! Try playing like that without EVER really being in the cone! It's a bit of a breeze now that I quit giving a @!$# about it! Some shots are great and others are laughable. Playing for a pull and then hitting a slow downswing is my favorite!
