With everyone back together this week - that means probable missed cuts for us medium players........
Add in VF/VF/VF/VH in R1 - and not a lot of fun......my tour rep had to ship in replacement fairway woods and long irons as I wore the current ones out with the ridiculous amount of approaches that required them........at one point I did spot a par 4 of less than 500yds and a par 5 under 600.......but then realised that was only cos they were front pins
-7 and then -11 in R2 (mostly default conditions) for -18 and a likely missed cut........shock horror!

In the unlikely event of making it, I shot -9 and -10 to complete a -37 tournament. Solid but unspectacular....

R1 -9 and disappointed with that as I missed 5 putts under 15 feet, 2 of them under 10 feet for birdie. Also had the controller go haywire on me and ranomly started to keep aiming right on its own on one of those short putts before it disconnected itself.
R2 -8, was -5 after 8 holes and didn't get another birdie until the 15th with short putts breaking the opposite way to the beads or going straight, had some approach shots stick on the fringe instead of rolling back down the yellow or red backstops towards the hole.. Had a 13 footer on 18 which scraped the cup on the high side. Not sure -18 would have made the cut anyway, might be right on the number?

Just shot my least favorite number in the world, -49. -9, -13, -15, -12. At least the second time I've done that this year, albeit I won the other time (: I definitely left at least 4 or 5 shots out there, similar to the last tournament with most of them being in the second round. That first round is definitely tough with hurricane winds and the course playing long as hell. I had a good time overall though and it made me focus more than I anticipated. Good luck everyone!

62-58-61-60 - 43 under total. Know where each round could have been a couple lower - was -5 through 7/8 in every round but the stretch from 10-12 didn't seem to suit my eye
Still pretty solid - hopefully Top 20 ish which is about my ceiling atm
No complaints about the setup - the way the greens are sculpted suits 187's. I'd love to know where the obsession with Very Firm has come from though - can't remember a week we didn't use it and still think it's ridiculous. Nice track though - all about being on the right level.

Bogey free rounds of -8 and -7 to sit at -15 through 2 and a missed cut again. I've genuinely no idea how some people are hitting the scores they're hitting on this course in these conditions. I couldn't have played much better than I did and I'm nowhere near ... Sad times

Had a 3-putt par on 4 and missed an 8 foot birdie on 7. Lipped out a 13 foot birdie on 9. Missed a 19 foot birdie by 4 inches on 10.
Holed out for eagle on 11, which is one way to avoid missing another birdie putt.
Then I gave it back on 12, fast downswing into the rough, another fast downswing into the rough, then a flop from behind the green had 45 yards of rollout and I ended up on the front of the green, 118 feet away. Lucky to be over 100 feet, don't think a full swing on a putt would have gotten it there, so I hit another flop and escaped with a bogey. Went and missed an 11 foot birdie on 13.
Then proceeded to birdie the next 5 holes. Should have eagled 16, putt was on line but I left it a couple feet short. Could have been a great round, as it is I'm tied for the lead on PC through 1 at -9. Just gave it away a bit on the greens.
Second round I had some issues with slow downswings and my putting didn't really improve (missed a bunch of birdie putts a couple inches high). But I had a repeat of the first round, again finished -5 over the last 5 holes (this time with an eagle on 16 and a par on 17).
I'm inclined to think that sitting in 3rd out of like 12 on PC so far suggests -19 may make the cut, but we'll see.

I'm going with a cutline prediction of -15 or -16.

Opened up with a single bogey -6, which included 4 missed putts that I'd usually knock in with my eyes closed... Was a bit breezy!
Some impressive scoring out there, considering the conditions.
