I’m new to the community, so I apologize if I’m posting in the wrong area.
Are there people who take requests to build courses? I have a couple in mind. Thanks!

What courses are you wanting because some of them could be works in progress. Three courses in Missouri. One is a very simple and straightforward public nine holer, another is a beautiful hilly 18-hole public, and the last is a private club. I assume people compensate others for their time if it’s a special request. It would be really cool to play courses I’ve played a lot in real life.

The idea of being "compensated for my time" is a new one for me. Sounds great though. You do realize that it takes around 100 hours to craft a decent course, and at Missouri's 2020 minimum wage of $9.30 you are looking at a $1000 charge for each course. I might be persuaded at those rates!

I would take a crack at them myself but I’ve never designed one before and I don’t have much free time (not that anybody does, I guess).

Ok, I was wondering about that. I don't have time right now to do another course with all the planting required to make a finished course, but if someone could do the mapping in OSM on PC, I could create lidar versions of those courses for you pretty quickly and publish them as beta versions so you could play them. I've done something similar with some of the courses I grew up playing in Indiana and also some local courses here in the Dallas area where I live now. It's still pretty fun to play courses like this for me.

First of all, someone has already mapped AL Gustin in OpenStreetMap and done a pretty good job. That makes this one pretty easy to do. Secondly, I did locate the other two courses, but they have not been mapped yet. That's going to make these two a little tougher because I really don't have time currently to map them out properly, especially Country Club of Missouri. Do you have a PC or someone with a PC that could map either of those courses? I already have Lidar data for AL Gustin downloaded and should be able to create a beta version this weekend. I don't think it will take too long.

Just a quick update. I’m having trouble finding the correct EPSG code for AL Gustin, which is necessary for getting the OSM and lidar data to work properly in order to generate a course. I'll try to look at it again tonight but this may take longer than I expected.

I have tried 2 out of the 4 so far and the problem is that the lidar tool isn't recognizing the OSM data. I'll try the other 2 codes when I have a chance and report back. Thanks again.
