I’ll get this week started. Wanted to get out early this week as I love Far Water Golf Club by my buddy jwtexan, great course! Really tried to play this smart as there are so many traps (not the sand kind) on this course! Managed an ok round one with one bogey for a -9.

I just played rounds 1 and 2. The course is a beauty! I just wish I could putt better. I seemed to get fooled quite often. Round1 -10 played pretty well other then a couple putts. Round 2 -7 The slows started popping up at the worst times. Oh ya, And I missed some putts Overall I’m ok with the rounds, but there was one glaring stat to me. I only birdied 2 out of 8 par 5’s. I had bird putts on 7 of them and only made 2. I need to turn around this putting over the last two rounds, but either way I think I made the cut. (-17 at the cut) Always my top propriety. Good luck, very fun course!

Didn’t particularly feel confident going into this one and man did I freak out when I was +3 thru 3, courtesy of a very fast off a cliff on the par 3 2nd hole for a double and a slow drive off the tee on 3. I had to make a 34 footer on 3 to save bogey. After that was over, I played more like myself and started making birdies. I finished with a 65 round 1, -15 at the cut, and -35 overall which isn’t so bad for me as I’m not really the best on courses with heavy water. -15 is probably safe but cutting it close maybe. I think the only time that number wasn’t good for the weekend was St. Andrews so hopefully that trend continues.

After my first practice round where I shot -9 easy, I jumped straight into what was going to be the most bizarre round of my TGCT career....
Snap hooked my opening tee shot into the ocean and lost my swing completely on my way to dumping 3 more shots into the sea as well. Heads completely gone and I’m stood on the 14th green at +3 with another 15ft for par, box it and then play the last 4 holes in -5 to somehow shoot -2. Just a catastrophic round of golf.
Loved the course though 🤣
Miracle required to make the cut

-4 at the cut. Bad play this week from me. Good luck to the rest of you. I needed a lot more smart play this week but I got suckered into some shots I shouldn’t have tried.

After the horror show of round 1, sitting 2nd last I decided to just go for every flag in round 2 in a desperate attempt to make the cut.
It just flowed, 7 birdies and an eagle later I stood on the 10th tee at -9 for the day with the opportunity to shoot my best ever score.
I bottled it and bogeyed 10 before struggling to recreate the fireworks, spurning plenty of chances.
In the end I birdied the final 3 holes to shoot -12 and -14 overall.
Unfortunately I think it’ll miss the cut by one but I’m chuffed with the effort, played the last 22 holes in -17 (with a bogey) so if I can carry that onto the next event it’ll be a positive.
Good luck to everyone and see you next week

Putting this out there as a registering my opinion, not a "complaint," or "criticism" of the course.
Getting a bit tired of quirky fantasy courses; would love to play some straight up realistic style courses for a few tournaments.

Still getting my feet wet here a bit as this is the first year of scheduling for me. I do have some nice non-fantasy courses in the works that need play-testing for conditions. Keep the feedback coming as I want courses on the tour that you guys enjoy. Albeit you can't make everyone happy though

Albeit you can't make everyone happy though I’ll get Stoke Park, a European championship course finished soon so we can play a real, European course! Failing that, just had Mill Ride GC, UK (L) approved for TGCT although it’s just shy of 7k yards so would need wind cranking! Anyway, that’s enough shameless plugging for one day...

Thanks, I’m about 50 hours from finishing Stoke Park but it should be pretty solid once done, it’s a 7200 par 71 so should present a challenge of sorts plus it has some strong holes
