This week I decided to reach out to a old friend of the red haired middle child tour, also know as The Korn Fu***ng Ferry and that is texasdad . Leo has provided us with some fantastic courses over the past few year and since it’s been awhile since you used one of his courses, I thought ir was about time we brought him back. When I asked him to make a course for us, he was as helpful as always. When he returned to me and proudly presented this course, the colour drained from my face, I was speechless for nearly a full ten seconds, when I could finally speak, I struggled to get the words out of my mouth “ My God, Leo, what have you done. Dublin, we cant play in Dublin, it could be the end of The Korn Fu***ng for ever, let me explain”. People associate Dublin with Ireland, people think Dublin is the be all of Ireland. That Dublin is Ireland. They could not be more wrong, Dublin is the personification of Evil. It’s where the bad people live. Let’s look at some facts., let’s compare Dublin to a other completely random city in Ireland, let’s say Cork. In Dublin, there is 1000 murders a day, in Cork, there are none. In Dublin, there are drug dealers on every corner, in Cork, there are flower vendors on every corner but they don’t sell flowers, they give them away just to brighten the day. People in Cork help old ladies cross the street so they can visit there grandkids with bags full of treats. In Dublin, old ladies are mugged while crossing the street and their entire life savings are stolen. Why are they carrying their life savings I hear you ask, because if they left them a home, their house would be robbed. Don’t just take my word on it though. A recently published survey asked 100 Cork people, what is the real capital of Ireland and all 100 said Cork. The same survey asked 100 Dubs and all of them could not understand the question and they then robbed the person asking the question.Lets look at famous people, in Dublin they have Conor McGregor, in Cork, we don’t have Conor McGregor. In Dublin they have a spec-wearing, doggerel-spouting rock dinosaur, the sanctimonious, self righteous twat that is Bono. In Cork we don’t have bono. These facts, these truths are why we can’t play in Dublin. ”But Dan” replied Leo,” this is Dublin, Texas, not Dublin Ireland” Crisis averted, the event can go ahead. So good luck, have fun.

Something has gonna wacky with my game/connection/controller. Never had swing tempo problems before but now get very fasts followed by very slows the next swing out of nowhere. I had to stop playing last tourney costing me 2 demos. Now round one here is the same thing. Very frustrating.

Gonna be busy this week so decided to rush and play them today in case I don't find time. After last weeks win, I was fairly optimistic. Started alright with back-to-back rounds of -11, was thinking I might get top 10 and that last promotion mark I need. Then R3 came and it was very high winds. I HATE playing with v high wind speed, totally sucks the fun out of the game imo. Only -5. But anyway, I powered on and shot -13 in the final round for a -40 total. Hopefully I've done just enough to get promoted. If you can avoid errors in round 3, then you should do well. Can see the winner getting around -50 or better because I definitely left a few shots out there. Good luck this week everyone!

I've changed my profile signature in readiness, finally I've managed to make it to the tour I have been trying to get on since the start of last season! Demoted from PGA to CC-C in the mass Q-School last year and then stupidly birdied the 72nd hole in the final promo event last year to accidentally make Euro (idiot!). 1/8 cuts made later, and an unfortunate DQ last week due to internet issues - luckiest break I've had! - looking forward to my imminent double strike and demotion!
To be fair it's only sped up the inevitable by a week or two. I spent 6 weeks in Web back in the TGC1 days (when it was a LOT easier to get promoted) and was a bit sad to leave. Full of characters in those days, plenty of names I recognise on the leaderboard these, but the one constant is the best and most entertaining scheduler on TGCT. I lost my mojo a bit in Euro (not to mention the will to live...) but looking forward to getting it back and battling to stay here. Because at this stage that's my only aim.
Good luck all! Very happy to be here

My Care Meter dives to "Couldn't care less about this sht" immediately whenever I see there is an extreme high wind setting. Nothing about it makes this game fun, competitive or challenging. It's stupid and frustrating. Completely unrealistic how over-powered it can be. It's definitely not programmed properly regardless of what HB (or anyone else) has to say about it. I don't play to be frustrated or pissed off. I play to enjoy, compete a little with some friends and have fun. When it becomes not fun, I become not caring.

The thing is, there are people that enjoy a round with very high winds. As there are people that hate 144 green speeds as well as people that ask for slower conditions. I cannot though take the wishes of any one person into the schedule because it is against the wishes of the next person. Very high winds are very rarely used on this tour but they are used, to challenge players, to vary conditions, to change things up.It is impossible to have conditions that every one likes each week, there are just to many variables, to many different opinions. So sometimes we just have to deal with it, and that includes me. I would not have those red marks next to my name if we could play what I want every week. The conditions I use are tested carefully that even if they seem tough, they will play fair.

I had no wishes in my post. Only how the wind makes me feel in this game when it's extremely high. Couldn't care less if others like it and they couldn't care less that I don't. That's neither here nor there. It's going to be whatever it is and everyone will play in it. But that doesn't mean I have to like it or not comment on it. I was just portraying my displeasure of playing in those unrealistic conditions, most notably on a 3rd level pro tour. It makes more sense to max it on Euro and PGA then it does on KF. But that's just my two cents. Don't take it seriously or personal, it's not meant to be. My 2 cents has a cash value of zero and an even lower philosophical value. Carry on

Played my first round. First hole, nice drive then hit what I thought was a perfect approach to that front pin, one bounce, trundles on to the green..... and then keeps on trundling to 80 feet!! 3 putt bogey, welcome to the Korn Ferry Tour! 😂
Generally played ok from there but struggled with the putter before getting on a nice run on the back 9 to get the train back on the tracks. -5 thru 15, thinking one more birdie would not be a bad start. Derailed by a slow off the tee in to the water at 16 and an impossible up and down. That's a controller throwing kitten kicking double! Nice bird at 17, -4 68 for the round. Not too shabby on the Xbox leaderboard but I suspect a bit of work to do to make the cut.
Enjoyed the course, and didn't see a drunken stag party anywhere?

I hate playing in high winds (what psychopath actually enjoys it?!?!) but I love the variation in the scheduling. I think if the odd brutal round here or there isn’t squeezed in then the novelty will wear off for most pretty quickly.

Happy with - 10 for r1. Shame about the late bogey on 16, but it was very hard without a 3 iron in this wind. Turns out it's the most difficult hole atm so that makes it feel a little better. Also swing could still be better so maybe I got a little lucky with - 10
