A great rjwils30 course this week. It was a fun grind for me all 4 rounds. Choosing the correct angle into the green is important and good approach shots are at a premium. -36 in the end for me. Won't be sniffing the top 10 I imagine, but I should make it to the weekend....which is nice.

Looks like a missed cut for me due to 2 holes. In RD1 I was -5 going to the 11th. I hit a slow(of course) and it went down the side of the hill. It took 3 shots to get up and on the green! It really should be OB, because it's such a steep shot up hill that I kept hitting the hill on the way up. Anyway, triple bogey. Now -2. I then work my way back to -6 going into the 18th. A 4 putt double to end at -4. Really frustrating.
Round 2, played about the same as RD1 without the extreme two holes that ended my tourney to shoot -9. That leaves me at -13 at the cut. Again I say "What could have been"

I really enjoyed the scenery of this course and loved a lot of the layout. Really beautiful. The greens are very punishing though, almost too much so at times.
First round I shot a -11 and that included a double bogey in which my ball rolled off the green three different times in what seemed to be too ridiculous of a pin placement. Thankfully I was able to keep a level-head and the birdies kept rolling.
I kind of fell flat in round 2. So many times I’d hit an approach shot and think “this one might be okay”....then I’d watch it crawl into a slope and carry another 60 feet away from the hole.
-17 at the halfway mark, think it’s gonna be enough to make the cut and I’ll get to keep my first earned green checkmark for one more week.
This is a great course and I’m having a lot of fun here, but I think it’s going to infuriate some people this week.

Again I say "What could have been" I was in the same position on the same hole Rob. Maybe 40y down the hill if I remember right. I took a lob wedge and a prayer and somehow it made it up on the green and I sank a long one for par. The rest of the rounds, that approach shot gave me a nice pucker. I do agree it should be OB though.

I do agree it should be OB though. I was too far down to use the lob wedge and in that heavy rough, like a 68% shot. I tried to use the 68 yd pitch, and it went half way up the hill, then was able to use lob wedge, but it got stuck about 10 ft from the green. I then hit the 36 yd lob wedge from 10 feet on the side of the hill to get to the green. Then missed the putt...It sucks though, because I was 5 under through 10 feeling good, then a slow puts me in that position and when my second attempt to get to the green hit the side of the hill again I started thinking there goes this tourney. I'm kind of mad, as I'll probably miss the cut by two strokes. Good luck Curtis, looks like a pretty good tourney for you!

I’m -19 thru 2 with minimal stress so far and one bogey. Emphasis on so far. I’ve realized that I flat out can’t play 4 rounds and keep up maximum concentration anymore so I’ll see what my next two round burst has in store for me and report back.

You're starting to get things rolling again. I'm confident you can follow those rounds up for a good finish!

Not that anyone cares, but I looked at my score card, and it was the 12th hole not the 11th all he%! broke loose. Just for anyone that was curious.

I flat out went cold with the putter for just a -4. Then I played solid golf in the final round for a -11 to finish up -34. Overall not bad. I’m pleased with how I’m hitting the ball. Sometimes you just miss every putt by an inch and unfortunately that’s what derailed this bid for an elusive promotion mark. Not overly confident about Far Water next week. All my practice rounds have been hot garbage on it.

Life on Xbox, 4 rds in a row doesn’t happen often. Your right there, keep pushing and you’ve got a good shot At pga this season. Far water is tough. Will be interesting how we all do.

After taking on the advice of better players in an attempt to shake my journeyman status, I played two practice rounds on each setup before jumping into my tourney rounds.
At first it looked like a mistake as shot -11 in my warm up round, blind and then scrambled a -8 in the real thing. I then got hot on the back nine of round 2 and added a -12 to sit at -20 for the cut.
Really happy but I was -18 at the cut last week and finished T57 so need to find the focus for the next two rounds to get my first top 10

Got bored, decided to finish off...
F’d it.
-7 in round 3. -8 in round 4 with a double bogey on 11 (like those who have posted before me, please nobody else miss the green right!! Fast swing only on that hole!)
The mid table obscurity continues -35. Looks like -46 is the number at the moment

Had my meltdown in round 3. I knew there was no way I was going to put together 4 decent rounds on this one.
One of those rounds where nothing could go right. If I missed the green I could not get the up and down.....if I had a mid-range putt I couldn’t make it for the life of me. Just could never find a rhythm in any aspect the game....three bogeys en route to a -2.
Sitting at -19 after three rounds. Happy that it’s looking like I should make the cut but that’s the only positive for this week.

What could have been a great start to this tournament was botched by bogies. All 3 putts.
