Round 3 & Mr Bollocks ( evilgrin72 ) set me a target of 11 under par to grab a share of the points. Tough ask but got off to a decent start by birdying the first 2 holes... birdies on 5, 6 & 7 left me on -5 at the turn. Suddenly remembered I hadn't fired up any music to accompany the round so decided to play Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell on a loop inbound......... An eagle on the short par 4, 11th & another birdie on 13 meant I needed 4 more from the final 5 holes to snaffle both points & a bonus for the away win..... Par, bird, bird, bird & I was all square standing on the 18th tee.... Found the green in regulation but was looking at a 15 footer for glory.... decent left to right break making it a tough cookie.... Didn't know I was being filmed (otherwise I would have worn blue) but here's what happened.............. Get in you beauty..... 12 under par SkyBlueBen "And I think somebody somewhere must be tollin' a bell And the last thing I see is my heart, still beatin', still beatin' Breakin' out of my body and flyin' away... Like a bat out of Hell" You absolute star Simon. Brilliant stuff. That was some victory that!

Great writeups by Johnny evilgrin72 and Simon SAM ! Johnny, you set the bar high for those that may follow you. Keep it up! I did not realize that Pete @bogeymnan is becoming a star in the making. Great scores coming down. On another note I played real golf today and teed off in 43 degree weather and finished in 50's. Cold to this southerner. Only 3 weeks ago, I teed off in 70 degree weather and it got to the 90's. Somehow with my deadline, I missed the weather in the middle of those. I try not to look at our scoreboard until after I finish my rounds but it seems that there are some great scores out there. I am tickled to death that Pete is off to a hot start and maybe now not having to look into the rear view mirror of red marks. I have hopes we will hear from Art Vandelay at some time during this season.

Daaang evilgrin72, you set a mighty high bar with that report. Surprised Feherty did not relapse and join in on the drunken revelry. HUZZAH to that read! Absolutely cracking prose from evilgrin72 I’ve read shorter novels 😂😂😂😂

Nicely done evilgrin72. I have my work cut out for me when I’m back next week. I consider it a challenge.

Nicely done evilgrin72 . I have my work cut out for me when I’m back next week. I consider it a challenge. I'm not going to even try to beat that! I'm just going to hand over the baton next week to you Mark with a wry smile. Let battle commence

Quite a tepid last round, 2 birdies on the front 9 and 3 on the back with a bogey flung in as well for a final round score of -4 and -27 for the week SkyBlueBen

Dirtbags Season 6 - Week 1 Midweek Round Up
Welcome to you all for a new Dirtbag season. 10 weeks of intense competition, rivalry, music and a fair bit of micky taking. All culminating in the Ryder Cup, that competition where 9 times out of 10 Europe beat the ex colonials while the monotonous tones of U S A fade into the background . Places are up for grabs so competition will be fierce (I think we all qualify but why let facts get in the way of drama).
And talking of drama, we didn't hang about for that to start with all kinds of changes going on in the background with Greg deciding to leave. Thanks to all who have assisted getting the bricks back in the Dirtbag wall and those who have taken one step forward and taking one for the team. Johnny evilgrin72 has already managed to add a complete page to the thread on his own with a masterful piece on the Masters. Thank you to Greg honeybadger64 for his help in getting me started on the scoring spreadsheet. Hope you'll return to the fold one day mate.
Anyway, on to the real business.....Music Golf
Wolves 7 Foxy Trots 5
Finely balanced as we enter the latter stages. Flying Dutchman Frans fransslabak and new boy Mike katana22 (A big Dirtbag welcome to you Mike) ploughed into the week setting the bar for the rest who have been rather more cagey coming out of the blocks, Hunter Hunter B so laid back I think he must still be in bed. Pat Celtic Wolf who stamped his feet until he got his way with the team name, is showing that a happy wolf is an effective one with a return to form. Glenn gtmcf813 after a shaky start steadied the ship on Round 2 and one of our poster boys from the Korn Flake tour Ernie cappy1 showed his obvious class. On Del Boy's Trotters West Auckland boy Les lessangster (They won the first World Cup did you know? Ask him, there's even a Wiki on it) is steady and Paul sid snott is obviously spending too much time trying to get his wheel to work on Wreckfest rather than spending it practicing his golf!!
Masters of Destruction 20 (Twenty) Charlie's Angels 2
Well the fat lady has been singing since yesterday on this one. Definitely more Charlie's Angels than Hell's Angels the boys are in shock. Chuck Violinguy69 has turned to drink after disappearing off a cliff, portred was the model of consistency but no cigar and myself, well I'd have been better off working on new columns for the spreadsheet and stayed well away from the Bar (Harbor, is that an Americanisation of a proper word, Harbour?). Simon SAM is the only one entitled to the Hell's moniker this week with 4 solid rounds and the only 2 points so far. To be fair the Masters were at the very top of their game. Art Art Vandelay pushed his mouse splendidly for an opening round 56 (early contender for Score of the Season (new badge please VctryLnSprts ), Johnny evilgrin72 took the course apart piece by piece and didn't put it back right for the rest of us, Peter bogeyman proved what we all had been suspecting that he was sandbagging his way to be a glory boy in CC-Am until he realised he'd have to play 4 extra rounds to remain a Dirtbag and decided to play properly!! A brilliant Full House is already on the board for Peter. Randy RHMIII has so far popped out for Round 1, realised he could relax, and slipped back into the 19th hole for a few whiskies.
Bogey's 10 Foxy Victors 12
A very keenly contested match which is nearer to completion than it looks with mainly billybudd0623 's insistence on his own gratuitous pleasure spending time on the real golf course instead of getting his rounds up to date after spending days (weeks? months?) boring us senseless about Tax Returns (Glad the pressure is off Bill ). On the Bogey's Marc Crazy Croc took a little time off from looking after his Graveyard to squeeze a few rounds in (Don't forget to feed the Donkey's), David @bovakian after a slow start grew into the course and Kevin M lions67 is playing his best golf for quite a while. On the Fox's up mup kupen nup took some time away from his groupie following now he's the face of Korn to register a healthy score let down only by a little blip in Round 4. Ashton Ashton Fox didn't give the course or the designer grief so I can only presume it's straight in his Favourites box and returned a consistent 4 rounds, Victor VctryLnSprts showed off his talents live to his Twitch audience taking the heckling in his stride and finally Mark IGolfBad well, Mark must have rushed his rounds as he was going away to score so badly (You can get me back next week! haha). All to play for.
Good luck to those with rounds still to play. Somewhere in the World it's already Friday!!
Onwards!

Scoring Spreadsheet
Is there anything you would like to see in the spreadsheet that's not already there? I'm quite open to suggestions if there's anything you'd like to see added (within reason!)?
What I did really want to do was to pull the Fairway/Greens/Putt %ages etc in from the TGCT information but unfortunately it's a no go as some of our members play their official rounds outside of CC-Pro (Korn, CC-E).
As for complaints, I've checked my Office door and there is no "Head of Complaints" plaque so I suggest you direct any to billybudd0623 (For a reasonable fee I'm sure he'd fiddle complete your Tax Return also).

I like it. I never figured out what BF was in the season 5 spreadsheet as it is.
