Amazing course. Always liked this course in real life and in the game. Your version is a step above... My old Xbox handled it just fine. Thank you for the feedback, I truly appreciate that. It's also great to know that your old Xbox handled it. Makes me feel better because I am a little concerned about the consoles.

You haven’t released a beta 2 course have you Jeff? If not he’s played a different course. No Les, I haven't nor am I expecting to do that. Must be something different. He’s played a different course then, he’s played the one I played tonight because I thought you had released another beta it’s not a patch on yours but good in it’s own right.

Thanks for letting me know, Les. The non-lidar version that was already out there is good for sure. I almost didn't do mine because of it. Not sure where this beta 2 version fits in.

Played the beta today... man it was good! Your work on everything has really shined throughout every hole, and it’s incredible how far this has come.
One thing I’d stress is to get the lighting a bit lower and later in the day to get a more dramatic effect. For some reason the mid-day lighting in the game doesn’t look too good, so I’d lower the lighting to the point where you can at least still see all your rock work and other things you did that we don’t want hidden.
The only nit-picky thing that I noticed was on Hole 1 — the two bunkers behind the green that you have I think are just mounds in real life, unless I’m unaware that they changed them to bunkers.
This course is absolutely fantastic... great job!

As far as the bunkers on #1 I'll check them again, but they show up on Google Earth. I have a replay of the 2019 Dell on DVR. I'll check that out just to be sure. I have some planting and minor sculpting to finish and that should be it. There's a decent chance I'll have it published some time next weekend.

Just played it. Fantastic as I expected. Most notes I had have already been said, but a few simple ones for you. Don't remember what hole, but a few houses are floating in the air, I know this can be wonky from elevation so may not be possible to fix.
Also, I know on 17 you'd probably want to do this for sure, but may be smart to add some O.B. in some of the real nasty native areas. I know you can take unplayables but it seems like some don't even realize it's an option and just complain when they can't get out. So probably best to add it so people avoid it all together. I think 17 is the only sure fire one but maybe a couple spots on 2-4 as well.

I just put them there as a place holder so to speak in order to see how much of the resource meter they would use up. I've started working on those as I get near to finishing. Also the areas on 2-4 and 17 will be OB once I get to that. Already started working on that as well. I have a certain way of putting courses together and typically leave these things until the end. Once again, I really appreciate the comments. Hoping to be done by next weekend. I'm very close.

I don’t exactly want some crazy low-light setting where you can’t see anything off the tee or on approaches, but if you take a look at some of sandsaver01’s courses, I feel like the lighting he implements at courses like Old Town or Milwaukee is near perfect (just like the rest of his work haha). It has a nice balance between full-on sunset and afternoon. When the lighting is too high you also have a hard time seeing the green contours because everything is quite white and washed out.

Why do you need to see green contours when you have the grids on I’m saying sometimes it’s even hard to see the grid with the high light. Point is, the courses look a million times better with a lower lighting (to a limit obviously).

I understand. I'm going to play around with it before I publish the final version. To be honest, the lighting is usually the last thing I look at.
