I’ve never heard of this course before. Sounds like a hidden gem! That really long bridge or pier into the water is insanely cool.

When I first stumbled upon this course on google earth it looked almost a bit like a golden age course. It isn't, but it looks like it has a bit of an old school vibe to it? It's probably up there with Leatherstocking for not so well known but interesting resort courses.

When I lived in Maine (and was a golf pro) I played this course many times in tournaments. Fantastic greens and incredible views. My old Florida roommate is now the head pro. Hope you got to enjoy a lobster roll or two when in Maine!

I found out that lobster rolls weren't really for me but not gonna speak for gforce. I was in Portland briefly as a kid and remember Tony's Donuts being one of my all time favorite bake shops; any idea if it's still there? I played two rounds of golf on that trip which were at Sugarloaf Resort (Carabassett Valley, RTJ Jr. I believe) and Leatherstocking (Cooperstown, Devereux Emmet). We were never really close enough to Samoset, and I wasn't so knowledgeable about actual course design stuff as a 12-year-old.

You can walk on it out to the lighthouse but it's not even, lots of openings between rocks. Fun for kids, but a little nerve wracking with a 3 yr old!

It's a little old school on some holes especially around the water, but definitely more modern design on some holes with all the updates.

Because modern pre-minimalist stuff meshes so well with classic styles...

I am not an RCR guy, but I am thinking of re-doing my Penobscot Bay (which was an attempt at an 'inspired by' of this course) as an RCR type of this one...I have the layout down and started #3 and #4 which I want to do as exact as possible. Compare below pic with first one above. Not bad, needs some planting etc. I am currently working on a Desert theme (what the hell was I thinking?!?) Arizona course, but might get back to work on this after that. Whaddya think?

So it took me a bit to get back to this one, but I just put a fairly little handy Beta up "Pscot Bay 20 Beta" . Hence, creating a WIP thread shortly!

I haven’t had the opportunity to play but the course is only about an hour from my vacation home in Maine. The view out to the lighthouse is spectacular. I opted to look at the course from afar while my family walked out the lighthouse. I have my priorities straight.
