Very much a first round of "what could have been" as i'm sure we all have from time to time.....
The down side were two slow swings (which I don't think were slow at all) which sent my ball out of bounds on holes 9 & 13, those cost me 4 shots in the end....Ouch!
On the up side I waited 35 years for my first HIO in a golf video game then i get my second within the space of a week, Just like waiting for a bus here in the UK....LMAO!
I still managed to finish with a score of -9 for the round, the course is there for the taking in this first round guys.......

Who’s on the card for this weeks version of ‘Beginner Fight Club’™️ I’m feeling frisky, I can try and get Eric back here for a cameo if no one else is going to fight this week???
Lol. Trying to get time on the PC while the boy 😇 is at work, not sure when I’ll get my rounds in. Going to play a practice round or two this week, can’t be having poor results like last weeks again - I’m better than that.
Humblebragging is for people not good enough to brag openly 😂💪🏻🇦🇺

I'm doing really well after 2 rounds, my putting was spot on in Rd 2. After three 2nd place finishes and one third place this season, maybe this week I'll get within 5 of Sean

Played a practice round on XB, but hated every second of it. Won’t be doing that again. Had -11 with a bad decision costing me an OB on 13 and a very fast downswing off the tee costing me another on 15. Scrambled bogey on both holes but could have been a ripper without them. Never had a very fast downswing with beginner clubs before, I can’t even manage a fast when I try to do it deliberately. I’m blaming HB 😂 Had it to -9 on 12, then again on 14, then again on 18. Stupid -9!!!
Relatively happy with that.

Fantastic... They have tickled me, the robot posts. You've quite a bee in the old bonnet about Chart Guy, haven't you? It's funny, I just realised earlier while browsing the leaderboards that Sean was playing, and obviously winning, on BGT. I knew that someone would be losing their sh%$ over how he approaches the game, so I had a quick check of the BGT forums, and it's been gold. This has happened a few times before in other tiers. Whether you care or not - from a fresh pair of eyes, it's not a good lock you're putting forward. He's just very good at the game and he puts in the work to get there... He'd win on PGA no problem, but his circuitry, sorry, OCD, can't deal with inexact wind so he won't play there. I wouldn't enjoy playing the game that way personally, but, each to their own. VWP Sean, and good luck to the rest of you

I know this is the spoiler thread and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post my scores. My last 36h was 3 worse than my first 36h...cryptic!

Not begrudging those who play differently than me, as I feel that if you want to play 100 practice rounds or take 4 hours to play 18 holes you deserve to score better than me but I went into this week with my traditional pre-event ritual. No practice rounds, no playing the game at all since last Thursday, no ghost balls, and no desire to spend more than 20 minutes finishing the round. As usual the lack of preparation showed and while I didn't do anything bad to hurt my score I only managed to leave myself a couple easy birdies. The difference today was that I essentially put on a putting clinic as I was dropping them in from anywhere and everywhere. Uphill 33 foot putt? No problem. Downhill putt from the fringe? Dead centre. Mid range putt with huge left-right break? Easy. In the end I posted a season best -12.
Certainly happy with the score but I fully realize that if I play similar in every round but my putter goes cold that -12 can easily turn into a -4 or -5.

Another laggy slow swing causing an OB in Round 2 and adding two extra shots to my score, that’s 6 shots lost so far and I’m expecting more of the same in the last two rounds. Other than that I seem to be playing quite well, making a few birdies here and there. Hopefully I can make a few more and finish reasonably well.

Bit careless in round 2 Mark, those 2 pars ruined a perfect card. In a row as well lol. Sweet round 👍
I figure I lost 4 shots with my 2 OB’s in round 1 being as I hit both from the same spot afterwards. What could have been for me as well greybeard...
Should be right to get my second round in tomorrow on the PC, only need a lazy -19 - and that’s without Golfing Stig™️ having played yet.
Golfing Stig™️ is friendlier than robot, I vote we go with that for Sean.
Seems not many are posting in here, so I might as well fill in the void and see if I can’t drag a few convos out of people.

Got a small window of PC usage so played R2. Game trolled me hard. -11 with 4 lip outs. Not a single ounce of luck to be had.
Waaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Went into round 2 with the hopes of a round in the -8 to -10 range. Started out fairly well through 9 with a chance at hitting my target but then I started making mistakes, one which cost me a bogey and a couple others where I missed hitting the GIR. Otherwise I felt like I played better than round 1 as I wasn't so dependent on the putter to make birdies. However in the end I still fell short and only posted a -7.

Pulled something a little special out of my ass on the front 9 of round 3. 3 eagles, 6 birdies, -12. Won’t reveal the final score (it’s not as good as it could have been) but if I play that well again in R4 I’ll be close to Mark.
Nice when the golf gods pay you back for previous fingerings 👉🏼👌🏻
