Mulligan Grove is open for business. ErixonStone - this is my Rookie contest submission karma4u - would you do me the honor of providing some of your top quality images of the course? This course is my submission for the 2019 Rookie Design Challenge. Nestled in the upper Midwest, this Autumn Themed Fictional course started as a Forest Preserve District public course, but quickly fell into disrepair as the land couldn’t be maintained properly due to budgeting shortages and flooding issues. The land was sold to a private developer and was given a new lease on life – a “Mulligan”. First step was to re-route the river which was the cause of the flooding. The old waterway is now dried up, but still visible on 4 of the revamped holes. The new course now circles around the remaining lake. The course has been setup with tournament cameras and allows spectator access around the greens. There are 4 Tee positions providing challenge for all levels of players. Tips are just over 7600 yards and the front tees at just over 7000. The course features a Triple 6 layout – 6 each of Par 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s. The course routing is essentially a spiral mirror about the center, so there is a nice variant in direction of the holes. Greens should be good with Green Speed/Firmness settings anywhere from Medium to Very Fast. For added challenge, kick the wind up to H/VH. Enjoy !!

Well done on the publish Jeff, very neatly put together golf course. You’re a BAD man when it comes to Par 3’s, I played off the tips and they are long, mind you the Par 4 3rd was a beast too! Lovely job, will be back, good luck in the contest

Lovely job, will be back, good luck in the contest Thanks for the play. Yes, the course is definitely long from the tips, and if you don't get favorable wind, could be even worse. The design is a spiral, which is mirrored about the center, so even with tail wind, it'll only be on a few holes because of the directional variety. I plan on playing yours as well, good luck in the Comp!

I would like to note that I am interested in feedback, negative or positive.
Please don't tell me all is good if it really isn't.

Really enjoyed my round here - the progress from your CC course is awesome. Particularly loved the sightlines off every tee and thought the greens added interest nicely. The whole environment is beautiful and I expect this one to do well - great job, Jeff!
Edit: also, beating @bovakian 7&5 on stream probably helped my enjoyment 😃

Jeff - played Mulligan Grove a few minutes ago. It is a stunning layout, nicely planted and sculpted with interesting holes and features. I played from the Blues with Pin 4. As a rookie myself I will leave most feedback to the judging staff, but for me, I felt that most of the greens with this pin position had a little more slope than usual and this took some of the fun out of the course for me (again only my opinion, and I WAS playing poorly as well :) ). The only pin which might be questionable to the judges is the one shown here: Which does have some yellow in the 9-box. The course will offer the rest of us Rookies stiff competition! Good Luck.

Well, my course hit 60 plays, a far cry from 2K.. but it's a start..
Still waiting for "approval" stamp, and hopefully tour worthy.. that would be nice, but I'll just take approved at this point..

Be sure to check out Avakrac on YouTube and give him a follow. He's doing all the rookie courses.. BTW, good call on the dried up river bed, I mention it in my course bio which also defines how I named the course. Look for more "Mulligan" courses in the future as I think I'm going to do a series...

Great news - Mulligan Grove approved as Tour Worthy!! That truly makes me happy as that means I am improving as a designer. I feel great to be able to contribute in this way to the tgctours community!
Now, dust off those sticks and give this track a go!!
All feedback is welcomed. I know there is always room for improvement!
