I'd have to agree here. Tiger series is over, rory is dead so just tgc2019 left. Dont get me wrong, the potential for this game looks huge, bigger than everything that's gone before, but will it be fulfilled? Sorry but this inconsistent swing tempo nonsense could be a game destroyer for me (and many others) having played plenty of golf games with tempo involved, this is the only one that has ever felt like a complete lottery with every swing. Great golf game, just one issue, maybe not that big of a deal really, just the most important thing of all, the actual swing. Personally, I liked the game because of inconsistent swing tempos. It’d be boring if swings were always perfect/perfect. When I hit a p/vf or p/vs, I instantly know what I did, and I can fix it very next shot. 2 in 10 shots are P/P on xbox. That's why I love playing on this console. Feels more like real golf. If you play long enough on Xbox, you become a great player, just not good enough to get promotion marks on TGCT because of the horrible imbalance of difficulty on platforms (never fixed by HB) and not cared enough to implement a compromise by TGCT.

Exactly! When I get a P/P (on Xbox as well), it feels like a real accomplishment. I agree with the imbalance. I’m scoring mid -20s every tourney with Masters...not even close to top 10, and will likely never earn a promotion mark.

Xboxer here, The game may not be perfect but i continue to play it. Made alot of good friends throughout the years of TGC. I have had some complaints but so have many others. It's all we have and I am very thankful for HB taking a stab at golf. I hope they take as long as possible to put out their next version as the last 2 seemed rushed and incomplete. I want them to get it right on release day. Whenever that may be.

I get what your saying I mean I can see that side to it, it levels the playing field and keeps it interesting etc etc. It's just that I can see the limits to how 'good' anybody can actually get at this game before it becomes the complete opposite to interesting and it just feels like luck. Obviously thats a view from a very competitive perspective and although hb clearly state there is nothing random going on, why on earth does it not feel like that sometimes?
This is all old news to many of us who struggle with the Xbox side of things, I'm just a little shocked that such an important part of the game (the swing) can be allowed to behave in this way or that it isn't the same across the different platforms at the very least.

HB can't even do something as simple as getting the course play counter working properly. My The Swiss Wall course has 37 ghosts, 33 scores on the leaderboard yet only 31 plays. My Twoinone course has 84 count listed but has 600 plus ghost scores. I have one with 11 count and 400 ghost plays. out of 4 eligible to be hdcp'd only 1 is. It took 8 months for the the count to be correct.

Its random, depending on which server you're on and/or what time you play.

Can we go back to TGC1 now ?
Seriously though - some of you act like you know these people.. I know some of you have met them - but others don't know crap and they post crap.. You're like a bunch of spoiled brat kids crying in the store in hopes to get they toy you saw on aisle 3..

Hey, I'd probably settle for TGC1 but those phantom putt breaks were way too off putting

I released a new course Stogner Hills and the counts match up. 195 plays in a week. It will probably stay there.

Lol riiiight Shaun, would love to ask who they made happy with "patch improvements" after allllll the suggestions people have made, by deciding that adding more SHEDS to the designer, and changing the flop shot physics so players are now unable to get back spin on any type of shot in the game, would be the right direction to go... HB!!! Let's be honest... in real life how often do you see a flop shot with back spin? I was very glad to see all the ridiculous spin gone, in TGC2019 If you play the game without the loft box like we do in The Ultra Sim Society the flop shot feels much more realistic as does any shot in the heavy rough from around the green. Just ask yourself how do I loft up a flop shot when the whole idea of a flop is to open the clubface to get maximum loft with club bounce, the whole concept of the loft box is so unrealistic and nothing like the real game of golf.

HB have 'fixed a bug' and course plays have now updated. My The Swiss Wall now has three times more plays than it showed before and Angus Bay International and Northwood Golf Club have also gone up a very small amount.

I think someone at HB has been reading these posts. The course I complained about 2 days ago has now been updated. None of my other courses counts have changed.
