What's wrong with this course? I can't have a good tempo in almost any of my shots... I made an 8 on hole 17. I went three times to the water. I swing slow and appears very fast. Can't believe it...
+6 and I won't continue playing this. Greens and conditions are fine, it's not that hard but I can't play with this tempo issues, I just can't.

If I'm active on CC-D, can I join the Special Events tour today and be eligible for the Promo Event? Or will I need to have joined the Special Events tour before the week started in order to be registered and eligible?

I think I know the answer but I wanna make sure. Finished Q-school yesterday and will get my CC-A tomorrow. I assume I will be able to play in this event. Do I just go to the correct society and play the rounds or is there an official sign up? Which I would not be able to do until I get my card. And is it correct I can register to be entered into all promo events. I believe that is what I read somewhere. Sorry I know similar questions were asked just above this post but I didn’t really follow that bit about going in and out of societies. Thx.

This promo event ends tomorrow so you are to late for that. For future promo events you will be automatically registered. Just need to join the special events society and play. I think the next events in the special events society will be us open qualifiers but don’t know the dates for them.

Thanks. I mis-read the posts. I thought it was delayed from the current week into the week starting tomorrow. My bad. But we get a chance to qualify for the US open. Awesome. Too bad about the promo though I shot a -10 on kegusta today first time out.

meunier33: Can anyone tell me what people think is used to play this game but actually is not?
May 13, 2024 21:15:34 GMT -5
meunier33: I always find some way to blow promotion points the week after I get them

sroel908: Nope, like you said...default is whatever the designer sets the green speeds to. That can be any number from 104 to 186.

meunier33: I thought default meant exactly between moderate and fast
May 13, 2024 19:42:14 GMT -5
sroel908: Exactly, 158 is the designer-set default speed for Pine Lake CC (Michigan).
May 13, 2024 13:54:00 GMT -5
*
meunier33: The default for each course is what the designer puts it at
May 13, 2024 13:29:17 GMT -5
meunier33: 158 is not a usual default speed for greens in CC though
May 13, 2024 13:26:45 GMT -5
sroel908: The weather report says that default, fast, and moderate speeds would be used...the pre-set speeds for those are 158, 134, and 155. If you have certain fittings on, that could change the speeds.
May 13, 2024 12:56:00 GMT -5
*
sroel908: The info entered into the scheduler's doc shows that round 1 was always supposed to be default speeds, which are 158. And 140 isn't a default green speed for any other pre-set speed setting...

meunier33: Went from 140 to 158, I didnt practice this so I missed the cut
