I wonder if Rhonda has been in touch with the fair play committee to see where the problems lay with his rounds, or whether he already knows...

reebdoog This what you had in mind here? Either way, it was a fun shot to try - made more enjoyable by sinking the birdie putt.

Yes and no. When I play tested I almost tried a draw into the bank further left and let it come down. Your way works too. The general idea of that pin was to certainly use the ground in front or to the left to move you to the pin for sure. Nice shootin.

Just as a follow up since I am not a wgo regular, its obvious in my setup that i use the edge of my screen to reference the amount of draw or fade to apply, what do you use for your reference on that? Ive found that a '2 screen draw' not counting wind is about a 3 wood-ish and probably would have done that with a touch of deloft if I was trying your shot. Quite enjoying this next level shotmaking discussion. Interesting to see different tactics to accomplish the same shot Bill of the cap on my avatar is my benchmark for aim. I've figured out how much draw to apply to flight the ball to a landing spot behind the bill of my cap, then I adjust from there with feel - hence why it's far from foolproof. Here's what I was talking about with the WGO segment:
Edit: GDog and/or Dwain are going to have to go in and change those title screens lol WGR #3 is way...way in the past

Rounds of -9 and -10 to start off with. I maybe deserved to be a couple lower, but I wasn't comfortable with my swing and consequently didn't hit it close enough on a regular basis to go much lower. This is a course where you really need to be hitting it perfectly to get close, just off and you're toast!
I definitely found my swing over the last few weeks, just seems to have deserted me over the last few days - probably just lack of game time.

Mine is all messed up again too. To putt straight I swing 7 to 1 and my regular swing is 5 to 11. Makes it very difficult to get a feel. Confusing to say the least. I have no idea what happening anymore, it’s not the controller or cable. It’s either internal PS4 or network problems.

I have to swing 5 to 11 with my full swing or else I'll push everything, this feels very awkward and unnatural, but it's the only way to get a somewhat straight line. With putting it feels like I have to swing it from 5 to 12, which defies all logic and again feels very weird: but if I don't then putts will start off line and I'll struggle to make many.

Round 4 in at -13! 😎😎 Finished up at -46! 😊😊 Had a goal of -12 in the last to get it to -45. However, this was a very strange round where I had to pull out EVERY shot I know how to hit. 😲😲 Plugged in the bunker on a super steep upslope and hit a F/F de-lofted PW flop from 31 yards. I played it WAAAAYY out right and caught the slope to get it to 5 feet. 😏😏 Almost in the rocks in the heavy and a steep upslope I hit a P/P delofted SW flop from 20 yards and hit it to 12 feet and made the birdie. 😎😎 Hole out from 140 with a max-lofted PW? Yep, nailed it. 😊😊 Crazy breaking putts and ghost breaks be damned! 😬😬 I had a bogey after I hit it with my purse from the wrong side of a slope. 😔😔 I'm going to look back at my first round and realize it probably cost me competing for a win. 😲😲 However, I'm happy with how I played around this place and ready for next week! 😊😊 Nice round in the last, bassman70! 😎😎

Played a bit of spoiler last night I think, snuck in my first 2 rounds back to back between 7-8pm US East last night. It's not normal for me, I'm usually both rounds in on Sunday morning but it's been a crazy week. I almost just the week off TGC but I wanted a shot at keeping my cuts made streak going.
When I teed of there were 64 at -12, so the good news is, it still took another player after me to actually move the cut line. Anyways I put up a -9/-7 for a -16. Left a few out there but also stole a couple, between a fairway hole-out and a birdie putt that rather than roll off the green for a likely bogey (you know the pin locations) happened to get stopped by the hole and drop in. Arguably a 4 shot swing between those two, so maybe they're about a wash with the silly mistakes that cost me. Hitting it in the water for no apparent reason late in r2 probably still means the lost shots from stupid mistakes outweighed the strokes gained by luck, but the net/net isn't that horrible.
Will knock out my final 2 rounds probably tomorrow morning with coffee and secure another middle of the pack finish. Since getting promoted from euro late last season I've continually played solid, usually just a bit better than the cut, best finish T35, worst T65, and no worse than T45 so far this season. I'm hoping at some point I can catch a hot streak and throw my name in the ring up in the top 10 somewhere.
Makes me wonder if I'm playing too safe. I find it fairly easy to make cuts when the conditions are particularly tough as they are this week...if you just birdie the par 5's and reachable par 4's it doesn't take a lot more birdies on the rest to make the cut if you avoid bogies. I find myself regularly scoping out easy up & down spots on 5's & reachable 4's, securing easy birdies but conceding most of my chances for eagle. Similarly tough par 4's I've got a lot of 30 footers with a low make % but low 3-putt as well. Getting to that 10-15 ft zone with a much higher make % often requires risking a horrific sidehill/uphill 67% lie. In reality I should probably pick a few more spots to take my chances. The snowball effect in this game is real though, I've gone on that downward spiral enough times to know the dangers of getting a little too confident.

I'm a 7:00 to 12:30 on full shots, 7:00 to 12:00 on putts. (shrug emoji) Found that the "time" in which you believe you are swinging depends on the grip because the lever of your finger(s) holding the stick is different for everyone. I also believe that re-tracing your backswing path with your downswing helps immensely.
