As the setup guy for making this track a bit harder...I accept and embrace all the hate this week. I know it's toeing the line in spots but that was kind of the idea. There's enough easy out there that I figured it was ok to slap yer nuts in a few spots. Halfway through my first round and I've missed 3 or 4 birdie putts by centimetres and then I'm 50ft off the green chipping for par. Not exactly true to life if you ask me! That's the micro-tiering I'm referencing. If you can get the ball to stop within the mini tier that the pin resides, it's easy to make a birdie. But with all the "manufactured difficulty" with the ridges and mounds plus very firm very high winds, it's hard to pin point to that level especially with how the loft box affects the full swing shots.

See this here, is the very definition of an unfair pin. I've given the speed of the green total respect, hit it softly, it trickles by at 1mph on the low side, nearly stops, and i end up off the green. Punished for playing it as i am supposed to play it.
Absurd, ridiculous - choose your adjective

Oh cmon. We are all PGA players. We can take it. /s Yes, and because i'm a PGA player i gave the putt respect rather than smacking it like many would do.
And my reward for being defensive is a 10 yard chip. Smack it and i get my birdie and walk off.
So through making it more "difficult" it's actually just been turned into a crapshoot
I missed the putt - my bad, but no way in hell my play warranted a bogey there.

To me it looks like you gave that putt a pretty good rip but just my opinion. I usually play less break myself and hit it harder on all putts but on these pins can certainly be an issue.
Winning score still will be -50 and I don't want anything any easier.

Last comment on this, but i really didn't hit it hard.
It virtually stopped at about 3 feet then carried on and on and on. If i was going to hit hard, it wouldn't be missing on the low side
And i'm not talking about difficulty or scores, I'm talking abou trolling course setup that barely distinguishes between good & bad shots. I don't want it easy, i want it to be more about skill than luck

2nd round pins were totally fine. Said it before - very fast greens OR silly slopes around the pins. Not both
Anyway - 65-63 for -14 at halfway. Bedding in a new controller and i was a bit all over the place throughout. Don't really want to make the cut but worried i will

And our #1 finally gets his #1 Would love to see his chart... What a shocker! There must be a mistake! Edit: Too bad all those "victories" are tarnished. Kind of like the Barry Bonds asterisk. What a joke. #sorrynotsorry Edit 2: At least if Machine Jr. beats me I know he's playing the same way I do because his swing is more @!$#ed than mine!
