Who keeps putting water hazards in the fairway? I mean they must be in the fairway cause there is where the ball is ending up!
One funny shot was on hole three, tried to hit the green in 2 and ended up woefully short, heading towards the water, hit a rock, it bounced up and settled about 20 feet from the pin. Eagle.

Four rounds done back to back just to get them out the way. Thinking -15 makes the cut. Not one for being critical on here but that course for a tour round? Really? Will happily never play it again. Think I was -15 at cut & finished -26 or something? I honestly found it difficult to enjoy this one.

I might have made a cut! Long story short, I gave up 4 strokes on the par 5s, just simply making too many pars on them. No excuse just not executing simple flops or chips. What really shined this week was my putting. Despite some mistakes, I was able to make a couple lengthy par saving putts and only had one bogey in two rounds. Despite only playing the par 5's at about 50% conversion, I definitely made back those strokes on some long birdie bombs. Those putts your 30+ feet out and you are just trying to not 3 putt, found their way in the hole. I had close to 60% long putts in the second round and that normally doesn't happen. Overall swing tempo was fantastic. Only two shots that didn't do what I wanted or expected. -21 over two rounds should put me comfortably past the cut, tho with all that is going on in the world this week where the world is doing its best to screw me over, watch me inexplicably fail the API for my first time. Frankly after this last week, nothing would surprise me. Liked the course. It made me think. I played less than drive on a lot of holes just to be safe because I didn't trust myself. I also played a few intentionally fast downswing shots that worked out. My best shot came on the front nine of round two where I decided to hit driver and ended up on the fairway but behind some trees. Played a 3/4 box fade and put it within 5 feet. Was rather proud of that one.

Hoping -16 makes the cut so I can shoot E tomorrow in R2 and not sweat. Was one of my best rounds in quite some time. I’m sure someone who is celebrating Spring next weekend will surpass it overnight.

Is it possible to have a fun tough course, or do they just dislike not being able to use driver off the tee? I'll start a new thread asking what PGA players find fun when playing.

-5 and -8 for -13 and waiting game. Probably not enough, though.

Bahaha nice one 😏 .... I guess there’s no pleasing the top players it seems, but yea I enjoyed taking driver out of the equation here felt like a small victory 😜

Also, my two water balls in R1 were on me for mishits.

Everything aside, I sincerely hope that you enjoy your rounds around here everyone, I know this one will not be for everybody and that’s ok. I tried to build a course that challenges you off the tee and makes angles a big thing to think about. My advice is to leave driver in the bag when the course calls for it. The greens will usually help you work the ball to the pins. There are a few holes where par is a good score.
Any comments questions or concerns I’ll gladly listen to as it helps me know how you guys feel about this one , and hopefully I’ll improve on anything in the future, if you stream your rounds I’d love to see how different people play this one as well. As always thanks

12 under for R1 after struggling early on and only 1 under thru 6. Holing out from 100 yards for eagle on 10 definitely helped. Some of those fairways sloping towards the water are going to cause a few problems.

As always thanks I enjoyed the course for exactly the reasons you said, and I agree that the pins, in round 1 at least, were very receptive for the most part even with a mid to long iron. Thanks for the course!

As always thanks It's a great course. Not just aiming for middle of the fairway. Looking at spots to hit to keep it in play for a good approach shot. The guys here if they aren't shooting -15 a round it's a bad day. The PGA Tour is sponsored by Kleenex in case you were wondering
My scores were -12 -8 -3 and a nice closing round of -11
