Was able to get my Denmark rounds in this morning. The course is set up to be a birdiefest, so any easy pars or goofy bogeys will lose you lots of pace on the field. Every missed putt had me kicking myself!

Course is pretty decent. Designer needs to keep an eye on green transitions, a couple popped out at me. Not sure I understood the design philosophy on the 15th, that was the only hole that had me with a question mark over my head!

Ken Moeller is our leader through 2 - he has 4 demo marks - I don't think I've ever rooted for anyone harder to keep it up! Go Ken! Talk about pressure!

Barstool Sports event complete... Decent course & fun to play... Cracking outer plot with plenty of bling... My tip for the designer: Clean up those stray auto generated grass clumps. -6, -13, -10, -7 for a total of 36 under par. Probably not enough for a New Year's promo tick but you never know.

An RCR this week, Royal County Down. Supposed to be one of the best golf courses on earth - but I don't think it (as is my normal RCR opinion) translates as well into this game. It's a solid course with real challenge though, and not to be taken lightly. A real "survive the front, score the back" type layout. The scheduler gifted us pretty benign conditions for a links course too, with pretty low winds overall and not a ton of speed on the greens after round 1.
I caught a real bad case of the Slows in round 4 and that sank my score - and probably my week to be honest. Left myself with way too many long putts. Just a total of -26.
Rd 1: -8 Rd 2: -6 Rd 3: -7 Rd 4: -5
For a taste of how it plays IRL, check out how EAL handled it.
See you next week fellow golfers.

I usually play my first round on Mondays but being a bit bored I started tonight and am glad I did, I shot a 59 including two eagles on the front nine, I could even afford a bogey on the back nine, it's a nice course this week although the greens can be a bit tricky.

Congrats to Ken Moeller, who pulled it off! From 4 demo marks to a lightning bolt promotion - if that's not inspiring, I don't know what is!

This type of course doesn't translate well in this game.

One of my best weeks on tour so far, my putter was hot but I don't know why because I usually cant putt for toffee.

County Down Rd 1, -12 Rd 2, -8 Rd 3, -16 Rd 4, -12 One of my best weeks on tour so far, my putter was hot but I don't know why because I usually cant putt for toffee. That's some crazy scoring....I played bad my first two rounds at -6 and then a -4, but recovered somewhat and shot -10, -9 on the final 2 rounds. Was hoping that those last two round may help me catch the field a bit, but your scores aren't giving me hope. It was my first time using Master clubs in a while and my directional control wasn't great in the first two rounds. -29 overall would be tied for my best four rounds using Masters clubs in CC, so I guess I can't complain.

I use Pro clubs but I play with a mouse and have tried a few times to go with Masters but I'm just too inconsistent with them, I don't score like this all the time far from it.

Congrats to Robert for the win last week, I just missed out by a shot along with Steve, it was nice to be in contention for once.

Fun course this week. Only issue I had was I felt the par 3s were a little long for the green contours in some cases....but I also felt the course just played a little too long from the blacks for pro clubs. Good stuff, I just didn't play my best this week!

Pretty much disagreed with every design decision on this course. I did not find it an enjoyable or interesting round. But, the designer has more courses under their belt and on tour than I do, so maybe I'm in the wrong. If this is the course they wanted to make, and they're happy with it - good for them.
See you next week, golf fans.

This is a very well made course that provides a hell of a challenge without feeling unfair in design. When I was out of position on the fairways and greens, I knew it was because of poor execution on my part. There were some really fun shot-shaping opportunities out there too.
My only problem - and this might be a 'me' thing - the greens were a little too difficult....everything was a double breaker, and I don't believe the green grids in this game are precise enough to show enough information for fair putting. I was often surprised where my ball went. But I'm not a very good putter in this game, so I might be wrong on that one. Very difficult greens and that's where I struggled. I easily - no joke - probably left 30 strokes on the week on near misses. I think I had more 3 and 4 putts than 1 putts.
Very well done course, not my cup of tea but I certainly appreciate the time that went into designing it.
