Well I was going to take a break from this stupid game until after our house move at the end of this month, but seeing the first event played at DoubtfulObelisk's course has tempted me out of my hiatus. I wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun of thinking I've hit a perfectly good shot only to see it catch the wrong slope and watch it trickle 40 yards off the green! I've played two rounds, I'm not expecting to play any more. Actually played beautifully tee to green in both rounds but I've lost all confidence with my putter (which to be fair was pretty fragile to start with). Numerous missed chances, I just started laughing in the end as yet another short putt went past the edge. 69% accuracy on medium putts (5-10 feet)!!!! That's ridiculous. I wouldn't expect the cut to get too low but it will be lower than -10. A very fitting course for the opening Euro event. Good shots are rewarded (if you can putt), slightly off and it's got serious teeth. Good luck all!

Your like me with the flat stick cc event this week 20 ft proximity to the hole but missed so many from 15 feet and under finished Rd1 at -5 under but should really be in double figures

-7 after the first round. Had an early bogey after an awful approach shot, but recovered nicely and found a groove for a bit.....that is until I bogeyed the 16th and 18th, doh!
I’m with everyone else so far, I could not sink a medium-range putt for the life of me on this course.
Looks like I’ll have a chance at making the cut if I can put together a solid round 2....here’s hoping.

My 1st Euro event is gonna be a short one. -3 and -3 just could not get anything going putting. 1st round i missed 4 birdie putts 10 ft and under and also had a 3 putt par. So i went out round 2 trying to make up ground and bad idea...should have just kept trying to play it a little safer. Oh well on to next week.

Welcome to the new players, and hello to us returning players. I jumped in yesterday, as I felt I was swinging well. That carried over into my first two rounds. Rd1 -12 and played as good as I could play. Rd2 -2 I still had good tempo, but made a huge mistake on one hole for a double, and had several putts burn edges.
-14 after two. It will be very close to the line. If I miss the cut it would feel like a total waste to have such a rewarding opening round get tossed to the wayside.
Good Luck to all and to all good luck!

Not as much of that here as on my previous courses, but it can happen in certain spots if you're not careful. Hope you all enjoy the course this week. Any constructive criticism and/or positive feedback is welcomed and appreciated. A big thank you to toddfather for selecting it to host the first Euro event of Season 6. I will stream my rounds of this event (just for fun) on my Twitch channel, most likely on Tuesday night at about 8 PM Eastern. Might be interesting to watch, if you enjoy seeing designers fall victim to their own traps. Some very nice scores coming in for round 1... Good luck to everyone with golf left to play.

Poor R1 at -6, good R2 at -9 and should have been -11 but doubled a hole after hitting a tree and dropping behind a rock. Course is fine, this is tame compared to courses I’m putting on the PGA. Enjoyable opening track for the season! Hope to make the cut and play two more

Somehow lipped out an 8 footer on 9 in the first round that just did not break AT ALL, somehow. Beads looks pretty unambiguous to me. Shanked my drive into the bunker on 11 but saved the par, shanked my second shot into the bunker on 12 but still made birdie. Was about 2 inches from clearing the bunker off the tee on 15, literally hit the last little bit of sand on the part of the bunker farthest from the tee, unbelievably unlucky. Then somehow missed the 10 foot birdie putt, went right over the inside edge and left it 11 inches long. Missed a 7 foot par putt on 17. Finished by lipping out a 20 footer on 18. -8 for the first round isn't terrible but it's pretty disappointing with 3 really short missed putts and having been -9 through 14.
Started the second round by missing a 14 foot birdie. I then 3-putted for bogey from 15 feet on 2. Second hole I landed it at the top of the hill to the left in front of the green, rode that hill down, rolled up in an arc along the big slope on the green, and came off that going directly at the hole, just barely burning the edge on the potential albatross, tapping in for eagle from 5 feet instead (also breaking a 6 hole run of par or worse). Missed a 9 foot birdie on 5 and a 10 foot birdie on 6, then lipped out the 7 foot par on 6. Shanked my first 2 shots on 7, put a pitch long, put a difficult chip long, and then missed a 13 foot par on 7. I was -5 through 8 in the first round, +1 through 8 in the second round. Bounced back into the bunker on 9 then missed the 11 foot par. Missed a 17 foot birdie on 10, then finally made a birdie on 11 from 11 feet. Had a couple bad shots on 12, then 3-putted for bogey, missing the par from 9 feet. Missed a 14 foot par on 13. Birdied 15 and 17 but it was too late to salvage the tournament.
So basically for the first 14 holes I was 9 under, played great, made almost all my putts. For the next 18 holes I missed basically every putt I had and was 4 over.

-6 to open. Could have been better, but got on the wrong side of some of the slopes. Going to need a good 2nd round to have any chance at making the cut.
Personal preference, but I've decided to play my Euro rds with the lie grid and aiming reticule off. Good chance my Euro days are numbered. Lol.

Not sure if I read the update correctly for this season. It’s still 5 demotion marks to drop down correct? And now it’s 3 negative marks for a WD?
Asking for a friend who wants off the PS4 Tour.

Played well for 3 rounds then 4th comes and cups looked smaller as each putt rolled quietly by. Also plagued with fast downswings on every approach that put me too far out to compete. I also missed two or three putts within 7 feet. Not real happy went from first to now 4th and possibly worse on the Xbox society.

Stick with it Taylor. If we're not good enough we'll go in due course. Why not try and stay here, not many of us Xboxers at this level?

A couple fast/fast (way outside the cone fast!) within the first few holes, followed up by an 18' putt (on 5, I think) that ended up like 72' off the green pretty much ruined my round and mood. Should have quit and resumed at a later time, but I just said the hell with it (going to miss the cut anyway) and finished. At this rate, shouldn't take long to get off this tour....or the next one..... or the next one.....wash, rinse, repeat.
