I was lucky enough to play well enough during the promotion even to move from CC-E to CC-A. It was fun while it lasted. I'm almost certain my four round total -16 will get me a sub-200 auto demotion looking at the scores posted so far. If it doesn't I doubt I'll be up here long. The jump from Pro clubs to Master clubs is ridiculous. I can count on two hands the amount of times I've had a very fast or very slow in my long time playing this game. I blew those numbers out of the water in 4 rounds with Master clubs. I'm not saying it should be easy, but Pro clubs should prepare you a bit more for the Master set. It's not even the same game. Some shots where I finally felt I was getting the hang of it, and felt exactly like the last swing tempo that got me perfect/perfect would be perfect/very fast and the hole was basically a guaranteed bogey.
Has anyone else struggled with the jump? Does it get easier? It's not even enjoyable right now.

I have not a sure answer but i can say that, for what has been my experience in the switch from pro to master clubs, my main problem in the first days/weeks has been that playing from the start with Pro clubs, i developed a swing routine such that almost every downswing was exactly at the end of the green "perfect" zone immediately before the Fast zone. Of course, when i switched to Master clubs, the same identical downswing become a slight Fast. And i struggled for weeks. Then, i was forced to leave the game for almost 5 months (for my work i changed town leaving my pc at home), i restarted to play more or less one month ago and i forgot everything. But, restarting to play directly with Master Clubs this time, now every problem with the power of my swing is solved. Then, i believe that with some practice you'll solve your issues. You'll also notice that the wind affects more the ball and that the ball rolls a lot less than with pro clubs. If you practice enough, i believe you'll find your way. But the other (and way worst) issue you'll notice is that, especially if you play on the Xbox (or on pc using XBox controller) you'll experience, above an extreme sensitivity of the stick, way bigger than on PS4, also a certain number of totally randomic SuperSlow/Fast downswing. Something that using Pro Clubs was almost never happening. And unfortunally there is nothing to do about this.

I’ve heard of this super sensitivity, but because I’ve played exclusively with Pro clubs (outside of trying Master right when the game came out) I haven’t experienced it. Hopefully they fix it with the new game. If not I’ll be switching over to PS4.

I started TGC with Pro Clubs and was a strong Pro club player, making it to CC-A and even getting a few top 10s. About 2 months ago, I switch to Masters and was demoted out of A in two weeks. But after time, I was promoted to CC-B back to A through some strong play. I find that with Masters, my good rounds are better and my bad rounds are worse. There are great swings. Consistency is very difficult to manage, especially as an Xbox player. Keep with it for a while and you will figure it out. Its probably a four week learning curve playing a bunch. And if you are seeing too many inconsistencies, turn off your machine and come back later.

Hey everyone, new CC-A'er here. Got promoted from CC-C by the skin of my teeth (right on the cut line for CC-A). Not sure how long I'll last. Was in CC-B for close to a year getting finished mainly between 40 and 80 until the COVID crowds showed up and that changed to getting results between 80th and 160th!
Decent start though, just got -11 on my first round to sit 18th!
FWIW, I play Masters clubs. Tempo is not my issue, I can get perfect/perfect a good 90%-95% of the time. Its the swing line that hurts me. I'd probably shoot 2-3 shots better per round with Pro clubs, but it all depends on the course. I enjoy the challenge of Masters clubs more than anything. I also tend to do better compared to the field in high winds and with fast greens. My brain can work out how to adjust, its just getting my fingers to act accordingly. LOL.

I am trying a new approach this week. No practice rounds, just fire up the game and played the first two rounds in a row. Seemed to work well with -21 through 2 rounds. I will take same approach for final two rounds. I was getting in habit of playing too many practice rounds and getting frustrated during the rounds.

As I'm new to CCA what is the score with users and pro club-set? If they win/promote to Korn Ferry do they have to switch club-sets to masters or do they decline the promotion etc?

I use to practice the course every week but I just found that I was overthinking it. I just play my rounds now with no practice.

Promotion is mandatory if you reach 3 promo marks. Nobody can't refuse, it would be totally unfair. At least, when promoted to the Korn Freaks Tour, who don't want to stay there can simply find a fast way to be demoted again. But, to "help" CC-A Pro Clubs players who don't want to be promoted and to play with Master clubs, only the first 5 pro clubs players in the standings obtains a promo mark, while for Master Clubs players a promo mark is given to the first 15. Is not a perfect system but is good enough to make everybody happy.

Took last week off - graphics card struggling was killing any attempts to get tempo and it just wasn't fun. I had a love/hate relationship with this course. Lots of quirky hole designs which rewarded thinking through layups and I thought the challenge off the tee was good for my game. Felt like nearly every green was front to back though and that 17th was the worst culprit - think I bogeyed that 3/4 rounds. Still, think -39 should clear one of those pesky demo marks and we can move on. Still haunted by Bethpage...

Can we just move to back tees already I understand if the course is 7800 yards or longer but I play with some pro club guys that are Even upset that they don’t play from the back tees. I get it for the cc-am guys but cc-pro should be playing from back tees 90% of the time. I have no problem with pro club guys but don’t help them with moving up the tees. I’m done with my rant now

I understand the request to play always from the tips. Selfishly, as a Master Club players, i couldn't agree more. But we shouldn't forget that we play the same courses played in 3 flights below, it would be extremely punishing for some pro club player in the lower flights..so maybe is correct to alternate a bit, especially if the course is tough enough to compensate in some way the gain of distance.
But i also believe the real issue is simply that cc-a is just the worst flight in which to play with master clubs. There are so many good Pro Clubs players here that the competition is so insanely tough to be actually unfair. Is one of the reason why i really wait the new game and the new season, hoping this thing will end.

I see your point, but I also don't see a huge difference in difficultly between CC-Pro and CC-AM for courses and setup. I think CC-Pro should be harder. We are playing against the field, so it shouldn't matter.
