I just was away from the game for a week and I hoped that it would help, but when I picked up the controller last night the same thing was happening. It’s happening in casual rounds too, even when I don’t care about the score. I feel stupid. The only way I can describe it is like paralysis. My brain is saying to start the swing, but my thumb isn’t moving. When it does, it’s starting too slow, and I have to release and start over or I get a slow backswing. It’s legitimately a mental breakdown somewhere. Then it causes anxiety, because I’m trapped in this weird physical pattern, and it’s making it a huge chore just to play the game. And I can’t play casually with friends, because it’s almost embarrassing. I take forever to start an actual swing of the club. I’m worried that this is it, because I can’t continue to feel like this when I play. I’m supposed to be having fun, not turning into a head case. Haha

Haha I’ve told you your suffering the yips like people do in darts and more famously Bernhardt Langer did with his putter, it’s a mental thing. I don’t know if it will work in the game but have you tried pushing the stick forwards a little first before you try and swing back like a forward press in a golf swing. Might help if it works but I don’t know what will happen when you push forward first, I will give it a go tonight when I start the game.

Very slows all over the place, think I carded a 78 on one course with Pro clubs. I got around it by totally changing what I did. I started pulling the stick back and forward, not past centre, 2 times and then on the 3rd time took my swing. It became a rhythm, a bit metronome like, and with patience it cured my problem. Took a few goes to settle into a nice rhythm. Soon was getting p/p apart from the odd occasion when the HB hamsters fell off the wheel. As I say, worked for me and I still do it now though not so pronounced as I've basically cured it.

Haven't played too many round this season, but I am happy to be back consistently playing tour rounds on pro clubs. Using them instead of master clubs because, well, I simply enjoy my rounds way more, just took a while to accept that fact. Was feeling the heat last week and was about to drop down to CC-B after struggling the few tourney's I did enter. Down to 3 demo marks from 4 last week and am in good position (somehow) thru 2 rounds this week to clear some or hopefully all of them nasty marks if possible.
Anyyywayysssss..
Looking forward to grinding the rest of the season with ya fellers! It's Trayys time!

Well boys... I played while tired... and after months in the designer with not many tour rounds that was a mistake. Ill be picking up the last 2 demotion marks needed to drop down to CC-B. It's been a fun little up and down journey for me on the tours so far. Started out in E, won and moved up to D, used a promo event to jump to A and now I'm back down.
Hope to be back up soon. Good luck to all!

A good CC-Pro course ruined by Pro conditions. I guess I can't always fault the designers....
How are we this many years into this process and still can't get it right?

I like the challenge presented with tough conditions / courses; provides some separation of the pack opportunities. Gotta think about your shots and execute. It's a grind at times and that's golf. There's always the beginner's tour if this is too frustrating.

I really hate the course this week. Good quality shots punished far too many times.

Little useless update that no one asked for to this self-pity party below. I did go ahead and bother to finish out my tournament after shooting even round 1... and finished up -19. So... who knows... could end up staying up in CC-a if I avoid 2 demotion marks as I am currently sitting on 3. Pity party update over. Well boys... Mr. CCPro schedular, Which course are we playing next week. There are four or five with the same name Doyley put in the Weather Report. And the TgcTours page for upcoming events doesn’t even have a course listed.
