I am tempted to drop down to pro clubs, but i have sort of just played with masters since purchasing the game so not too sure on the differences.I may have a few practice rounds with it and see where im at, preferably would like to stick with masters but if it will improve my scores drastically might be worth a pop.
Have you tried masters yet?
It seems as if its only me and you in CC-Z haha.

Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. We're the talkative ones!
I actually started playing the game with Master Clubs but I just couldn't get the hang of it so I dropped down. I mess around with them in practice rounds so perhaps when I get more comfortable I'll give them a pop in a tournament.

If I've been using Pro clubs up till now, can I switch to Masters whenever I want, or am I locked in?

The way i read it, although cant remember where, is that you can change just not half way through a comp.
Played around with Pro last night and feel like i could probably shoot a decent score with it, definitely better than i have been, feels like a different game completely, mistakes arent punished half as much. Tempted to try it for the next tourney if like you asked that is allowed.

I'm tempted to go the other way and use Masters!
Let's make a pact to each switch for the next tournament and see what happens. 😅

Have you tried next weeks course out at all yet, its not too hard but could cause a few problems on masters haha! glad we are swapping!

I think I may chicken out of this pact haha. Let me have one more tournament of with pro clubs, then practice the week after with Masters.

Can’t say I blame you doc. It is tough on masters I didn’t realise the gulf in the different until playing on pro this past couple days. Probably still won’t be able to carry that into the tourney but I am still gonna give it a blast. Will hopefully get my first round in today.

Well I did it after all. Played the first rounds of this week's tournament on Master Clubs.
I feel like I'm starting from scratch. You definitely have to make sure your tempo and timing is on point, with approach shots otherwise mistakes are punished much more severely.
I scored a +3 in the first round which wasn't the end of the world but the second is turning into a horror show. I'm +8 already and I'm only on the 6th hole...

Second round was a complete wash. Finished at +16 although I did just about manage a - 1 in the final round so that's something to build upon. I've decided to stick with the Master sticks so now I'll need to take any encouragement I can. 😅

If it’s any consolation I got worse than +16 on masters just last week in my worst tournament. It will only get better, masters can be punishing but sometimes I think that makes it more fun and challenging.
I played my first ever round on pro came in at -8. Could of been slightly better but for the one hole I got a double bogey on but if I keep that up for the next 3 roundsI will be happy with the way I’ve played.

I'm going back and forth about Master v Pro haha. I'll see. But I managed to win my first ever promotion mark last week with a 19th placed finish. I kind of feel like switching to Master Clubs now would be like when Tiger was regularly winning majors in the 00s, decided to completely rebuild his swing, and people thought he was crazy.
Except without all the majors. 😅

Hahaha! I see your point, mine is the opposite! I am not sure entirely if ill stay on Pro for the season, i feel like i am happier doing well on Masters as i have to work harder for it. But i also like to be competetive and i dont really need to use masters down in this bottom division! I dont think i have a promotion mark yet but did notice i am down 29 places in the money list after i flopped last week.
Feel as if i may stay on pro for around four tournaments or something see what i can achieve on it. Would like to be able to finish top 10 in a tourney and actually see my name on the board without having to scroll haha!
I know it was sunday so early, but i was actually in the top 10 of the leaderboard for the pro-am thing when i finished. Not sure if that has too much meaning but it looked nice and it was a first.

Yeah that's the thing, it feels cool when you're scoring nicely and finishing a decent way up the leaderboard. Coming in at + numbers in 129th place each week can be demoralising.
Having said that, I have a sneaking suspicion I've been promoted to CC-F after the promo event. Looking at their scores, - 40 to - 50 wins it each week compared to - 25 to - 35 in CC-Z. If that's accurate, I'm in trouble because on my best day I'm scoring - 15 which may not even crack the top 100 in CC-F.
If that's the case, I'm going to get demoted whichever clubs I play so I might as well get demoted while getting some experience using Master clubs.
He says. 😅

Oh dear, if youve been promoted looks like i will be talking to myself until you rejoin me back in Z (Although im hoping you stay promoted)
I dont think i will be promoted unless i somehow win an event. When do you find out if you have or not?
