Just played the course- it was pretty awesome not gonna lie! I went through on some holes to give some feedback on little things I noticed- if you don’t want to take these things into consideration it’s totally fine... this is just me being nit-picky
Just some general things:
- The plantation road that cuts through the course is seen in between hole 10/11, and before 16, but not in between 1/2, 8/9, and 12/13. Make sure to bring that road around because you definitely notice it when you play because you have to cross it a lot of times!
- Some fairways and bunkers are really squiggly and it takes away from the geometric look of many of the bunkers. Not sure what you can do about this?
- The clubhouse is also split into two buildings, could you try you best to create one big connected one that mimics the shape of the clubhouse to the best extent possible?
-The lighting is a bit too intense in my opinion, maybe make it a little later in the day to get some nice colors and contrast!
Hole 2-
- there’s a tree left of the cart path, which is on the right side of where the fairway shrinks in the middle. This tree will block any shot going for green that has landed right of the fairway.
- Up by the green, the fairway forms a full circle around the bunker, so extend the fairway spline around on the right side and use google maps to try and make it accurate.
Hole 3-
- There are a lot more trees in the waste bunker to the right of the fairway, it’s super tight in there
Hole 5-
- There’s lots of little palm trees in the waste bunker left of the green— right now it’s open and it looks a bit odd. Use google maps to see where all of these trees are
Hole 8-
- There is this massive oak tree in front of the tee on the right- you placed it well, it just needs to be bigger
- There are more trees in that waste bunker to the right after the split fairway- make it nice and dense
Hole 9-
-There is a small patch of heavy rough on the lip of the bunker in front of the green- just cover it up with light rough
Hole 12-
- The bunker up by the green protrudes out of the rough that surrounds it. Could you either move the fairway or the bunker so it doesn’t look out of place?
Hole 15-
- Same thing happened here with the bunker as on hole 12, the bunker juts out of the rough into the fairway without any rough surrounding it
Hole 16/17-
- The transition of fairway to the tee doesn’t look very smooth, just fix up the splines and make that transition nice
Hole 18-
- There’s no light rough around the edges and it looks a bit odd since the rest of the course only has light rough
- Add more trees along the right side of the fairway- you can be blocked if you’re in the rough right
-holy cow that lighthouse looks SO good
