Aww why no manual sculpting? Seriously I don’t care how inaccurate it would be... I was just hoping you’d give it a shot.
This hole is one of the few holes I’ve gotten an eagle on in real life too so i was hoping to play it the way it is today. The green being on the right dramatically changes the hole too... now we’re not gonna be able to play the hole like real life.
Sorry I don’t want this post to come off as picky... I was just hoping for a Harbour town Lidar that copies the course today, not in 2013, to the best extent possible.
All I ask is that you’d give it a shot and not worry about it’s imperfections. Just to be clear, I am so ridiculously thankful that you’re doing this course- I just want to help you to make it the best version we can get!

I made the decision that the best was to create the course as it was when the lidar data was produced. As I am making this course for myself, then it is up to me to make the decision. I am sorry that the data from 16/17 doesn't work for me - and there is going to come new lidar data that is being done this winter. So don't worry - there will come a time when the course is up to date also with lidar. (I noticed that the non-lidar version in the game is also done pre-2015, but with almost flat greens).

Perfection is very rarely possible, with fictitious courses, RCRs, or LiDAR. I'm just really pleased a tougher version of Harbour Town, with realsitic greens will come out eventually. Any guestimate on how long it's gonna take you?

I'm not good at making predictions - it depends on weather (quite important factor) and other things that can influence the time I spend on any courses. I also do not work with only one course - I need diversity, so for a time I may need to put it aside and come back later while I work on something else for a change.

I totally respect that decision. Again I’m not looking for perfection at all, I just want the course to be a good as possible given the limitations of the Lidar, course designer, etc. Thanks for spending all this time on this course, take as much time as you need to make it all pretty and nice!!
Keep on giving us updates on your progressions with the course, we always love to see how things are going!

Thanks. Yes, I see the green tees now that you point it out.
I found pins wth yardage, so that is okay.

I tried to have the walls on the 4th to raise; it didn't look good. As you can see, the walls are not in one height all over

Comment on the pictures: there is a bit too much land to the left of the green - right now, it is 3-4 yards too much as far as my measurments go, and a yard or two in front.

Yeah that water is too close on the left... my mapping was a probably bit off there because of the trees blocking the aerial imagery.
The retaining walls actually look pretty good imo- you’ve done a pretty good job so far! All I would say is to try your best to make them look more smooth in transition between individual retaining walls.
But wow the bones of this hole look good nice job

Water mapping is not important. When I map in OSM, I do not map the water (it makes no difference and it is only a waste of time as I see it). One thing that I noticed though, is that the greens has been mapped consistently too small. If you want, you can go in OSM and fix this, or I will perhaps do it later on.
I have fixed a bit on the 4th compared to the pictures on the left side of the green - and the walls are smoother as a result.

Ok sorry about that- I’m assuming I over compensated for trying to map inside the fringe since I have seen people say that the greens get too big in Tgc with the splines if you map it directly on the edge of fringe.
Anyway super sorry I can go back and fix it if you want, but will that mean you’ll have to restart your work on the course?

I finished remapping the greens and fairways around the greens in OSM. Took a little while but if it means more accurate green sizes, I'm all in towards helping- after all it was my fault in the first place that I did them too small. Everything should be larger and full scale now
