Greenstone River Golf Club is a par 69 course with stunning views. The course takes you along the river itself as you follow it out to the ocean, with the winding routing providing no two holes in exactly the same direction. This template-inspired course will test your ability not just to play golf shots, but to make correct decisions and the greens should be challenging, whilst rewarding good shots. More often than not, the braver tee shot will open up the second shot, but there are times where the more strategic play is rewarded. The course is not long, at 6756 yards, but it plays every inch of its yardage, with just two par fives to score on. For a challenge, do consider maxing out the conditions with an southerly wind - it is a lot of fun and whilst I haven't tested extensively, I think the greens are ok at 187. This is my third publish (first on PC) and I feel it's a huge improvement on Ganglesee. With the rookie design underway, I'd be grateful for any and all feedback - I'm very proud of the course and think you will enjoy it. There are also a few Easter eggs to be found - most notably some goats and an homage to PuttyMcPuttFace. For info, on publish, one pin has developed some yellow around it (pin one on hole 14). It was fine in the designer and on every beta I did and doesn't affect how the hole plays (you should never be putting where it affects the break), but apologies if it annoys you. Just had to play this before I went to bed. Excellent course, as good as I had hoped for sure. Per your suggestion, I maxed out all the settings and set the wind to high, which made for a fun challenge. Managed -7 on pin 4 in spite of some poor putting, but I'll have to try again in slightly kinder conditions.
In my opinion, the 6th fairway would've looked better had you not connected the two halves on the far side of the bunkers. That strip was a little too narrow and covered ground that looked a little too steep to be mown as fairway. Everything else was quite nice, though -- it's a fun and strategic course on a beautiful plot. That 15th hole was splendid, by the way; I think it's my favorite of the lot.
Thanks again for the course, and good luck with your next project in the rookie contest. I have to think you'll be a very strong contender in that one.

I really was in two minds about the fairway on 6 and I have to agree with you - I reckon it would have made my life easier with those bunkers as well... I used a ton of split fairways on Ganglesee and kind of defaulted to them as a crutch, so it was something I really tried to get away from doing on this course. I'm particularly glad you enjoyed 15 - it was one of the most fun holes to make and for something with such a simple idea of ramping up the punishment on the 'fast' swing, I think it came out pretty nicely. Your -7 is safely top of the leaderboard. Been a while since I broke -3 here...

Hey man hit me up I'd love to run this one with you.. anytime on Monday? Cheers pal - I'm afraid I've not renewed my Playstation Plus though as I'm now on PC. Would love to pop in chat to watch you smash the course record though! Let me know when you fancy it - I can do any time up until about 10pm GMT, so just say when suits.

Brooooooooo. Lol. Ok. You didn’t have to serve notice to all the others in the rookie comp so hard like this. Goodness.
