Does anyone know if upgrading clubs makes any difference in game play?
Thanks in advance!

No. It’s just a texture change- nothing stat-wise will change

Does anyone know if upgrading clubs makes any difference in game play? Thanks in advance! I'm almost sure is just aesthetic, cause, as every other object you can buy, you have no advantages. There is only one exception : if you dress your player with the Christmas cardigan coloured of pink, orange fluo, electric blue and cadmium red in a certain order, when you play an alternate match online you could gain a huge advantage cause the eyes or your opponents starts to bleed after the third hole.

assuming you mean things like shafts, grips, heads, etc. Those are just aesthetic.
The only way to increase your club distance is changing between beginner/pro/masters in your golfer setup, which results in a trade-off between distance and swing sensitivity. I'm guessing this is known but it's difficult to say 100% based on the question.

Does anyone know if upgrading clubs makes any difference in game play? Thanks in advance! With respect to upgrades purchased with in-game credits, they are aesthetic only and have no impact on gameplay. There is no element of pay-to-win in this game.

I've always said if they REALLY want to improve TGC give each golfer a set amount of money they can spend on their bag. Each club would have a different price depending on length or accuracy. The game inside the game. lets say $130. For a driver $10 gives you a 300 yard driver but very very touchy for accuracy and $5 gives you a 260 yard club but great accuracy. Or something like that

If drivers cost $10 I'm surprised more people don't play golf.

grinder12000 It's a brilliant idea, and that successful paradigm has been implemented in many past games. Additional options is good.

I can’t remember which golf game it was but at some point in the past I played a virtual golf game that did it. But I’m sure HB would muck it up horribly for PC and XBox. Lol
