I got demoted this year and played back up through promotional events.
Started using a really old controller a couple weeks ago that's been working fine for me. But I can show you countless videos of the controller I used for the Masters that suddenly couldn't swing the club for 5+ attempts and then a brand new controller my friend bought for me specifically so I'd play TGC with him again that produced lines that seemed impossible to produce from someone's thumb. I was basically ready to be done but tried this one out and I've been swinging it well.

This thread needs to pick it up a bit. Get your scores pulled. That'll liven things up.

On another note....since I know this is a de-facto "end-of-season" event for many, just wanted to say...
I think getting through this PGA schedule and staying in the field, without API pulls, is a meaningful accomplishment given the unique season that it's been. I imagine it'll seem selfish since I'm in that group, but I don't mean it to be. It's merely something I've kept in mind throughout the season once I began realizing that these DQ's were happening without any impact outside of the week in question, and that there were guys winning/top5/etc events and then DQ'ing the next week, or DQ'ing before a win/top5/etc., or - most demoralizing of all (because those 1-off things can happen I suppose) - getting multiple DQ's yet still jumping others in WGR or performing in a "boom-or-bust, top 5/10/15 or API-DQ" way that ended up having an impact on the larger group of other players who had never had FPP related issues.
Anyway, not trying to stir the pot (I promise ) but I don't think those of us who have gone through the year without API-related issues get due praise for doing what should be assumed, battling it out all year with the ups-and-downs we all inevitably have, against others who can't say the same of themselves (for whatever reason). So in short - kudos guys, and a well deserved congratulations on your season for those who won't be advancing past this week, best of luck to those moving on, you have my upmost respect (for whatever it's worth, so likely not too much ).Best post I've seen in a VERY, VERY long time. Consider yourself a rival for next season! I agree with all of this. I might miss cuts, I might come close to a Top-5. At least I know I'm playing legit. Well, as legit as Stevie Wonder might. I don't mean the few that get API'd once or whatever and have never had issues before. However, I'm with you on the ones that get pulled twice a month and their other 2 scores are wins or very close to it. It's annoying and frustrating to watch ALL the time. I'm all for perma-bans for them. They have no interest in correcting anything.

This thread needs to pick it up a bit. Get your scores pulled. That'll liven things up. Only way mine might get gone is to have a "reverse" API that picks up only shitty swings! Edit: We're allowed to say bad words now??!!?!

Are there going to be 30 and ties or 30 cut off with tie breakers in effect?

In a practice round for pin1 on soft/mod/mod, I was -11 through 13 or 14 holes. In the real event, I was +1 through 3 and -11 at the end of the round.
This is why I don't play practice rounds.... On another note....since I know this is a de-facto "end-of-season" event for many, just wanted to say...

I’m proud to not be part of the elite 9 who have won this season while also earning a DQ another week. Maybe things will change next season.

Are there going to be 30 and ties or 30 cut off with tie breakers in effect? August 12th (remaining eligible registered) Make cut (Top 30+ ties) or be top 10 on FedEx list (PGA) or money list (European, Web) after event finalized to move on to August 19th event

LOL @ Not trying to stir the pot... I just want to praise players for not being other players. Of course nothing negative against the other players I just want to praise guys who aren't them, because that's something great

Personally I am fine with that

Went ahead and played as it's Tuesday and I'm still registered for the event. Bogey free -11 first round then two 90 degree lip-outs cost me in round 2 ... One for par to give me my only bogey and one for bird to get me to -10. So -9 2nd round and -20 at the cut damn!

-13 for round 2 (-25 through 2) so it looks like I’m moving on. I’ll echo what some have said here...it sure is satisfying to work through figuring out a way to hit good shots and see the results. This game isn’t perfect but they’ve found a way to approximate some of the real life challenges of hitting good shots again and again.
Onward...hoping to make a run at a top 10!
