My latest design and entry into the Dream Team competition. This course takes heavy inspiration from both Yeamans Hall Club and the CC of Charleston, which are both Seth Raynor designs. The course will only be published tonight as i'm currently at work but i have just finished the course profile of Charleston Hall and thought id save some time by getting this thread up and running. The link to the profile ill leave below... blog.tgctours.com/course-profile-charleston-hall/

Another top notch course by Joe, proof that you don't need massive elevation changes and tricky greens to create a great looking challenging course.

Good course enjoyed the challenge. Its your trademark course style too. Only thing was 13th that narrow strip to attack I got it but my second shot hampered by water felt got no reward taking it on. It just could be the wind in different circumstances the reward there. Still I enjoyed my round great work.
Cant believe its got only 52 plays come on fellow tgctours give dream courses some love there some great courses your missing out on.

This is a great course - definitely needs more attention. We'll be featuring this on tomorrow evening's TGC Course Review at 7 pm EST. Nice work Joe!

Gave this another play this morning - I still think it was maybe a little hurt by coming on the back of Raynor Ridge. Nothing against Charleston, but I think that is the best MacRaynor style course in the game. There are a few absolute standouts here though: loved the Short and how wonderfully that thumbprint plays, the spine on your Eden is a great touch and the Double Plateau is another thought-provoking short four in the style you do so well. I remember thinking that 12-13 were my favourite back-to-back holes in the contest and nothing has changed since - they are just perfect. Also love the disguised Redan - you'd never really guess the slope is that severe. The one hole that fell a little flat for me on a play some 6 months later was the Alps 16th. I guess that's likely the Hogs Back being so tough to show off without making it super extreme, but the tee shot felt a touch benign compared to so many others on the course that were pretty pinched (still yet to hit the fairway on your Punchbowl or brave the tight line on the Bottle) and a tighhter or more bunkered landing area could have really ramped up the tough stretch. Still a great course and looking forward to your major/CC entries!

Any possibility of this being ported to 2k21? This course along with Fishers Island, were my favorites in 2019, and I’d live to see this make the jump.

Joe has switched over to PC designing right now. Charleston Hall and many of his other courses were done on PS4 so until/if he gets the game for PS4 the course will have to be played in TGC
