I just like phlyerphanatic cause I assume he's a Philly guy! I've never been to Philly...but I bleed orange and green Eagles and Flyers all the way Jim, When I lived in Jersey (don’t judge) I was a huge Eagles fan. Since I’ve been in Florida I became a Bucs fan many years ago. Needless to say football season has become a much less happy time for me since 2003. Only time I hated the Eagles was in the early 2000s when the Bucs and Eagles were both playoff teams. I did like McNabb then. However since then I’ve been a “closet” Eagles fan.

Been an Eagles fan since the day they drafted some skinny QB out of UNLV... Go Randall! 🙂. Although I did take a sabbatical during the time they employed the dog-fighting QB, who I won’t even name. Won’t support any team that gives second chances on that front.

Just now got to this thread. I’d say they have a bit, but also not my a large amount. With foul language, I’m probably one of the ones responsible for it lol...
But no, in all seriousness, there are some threads that have gone much longer without being locked than I would’ve expected 2 years ago. At the same time, I feel a bit of relaxation is good. As long as it’s mostly civil and there are no personal attacks, I think a bit of argument and banter is okay. The mods and admin have done a great job of keeping it that way.

There is, and always has been a pack mentality around here. People jump into arguments that they have no idea about just to support the person they like, regardless of whether they’re right or wrong. That takes a heated discussion to becoming a dumpster fire imo.
I don’t think the admins do a bad job, on the contrary. I do think the others that have moderator rights need to at least message a person and explain why they’re deleting a post though. Being a moderator doesn’t mean you can just delete a post because you don’t like the person and just make up a lie to act like there was a legitimate reason. A perfect example was my comment being deleted last week for a reason that was proven to be false, yet the persons pals felt the need to get involved in something they could not possibly have known about. It’s pack mentality 101. Same any time someone who doesn’t design has the gumption to criticise a course. You don’t have to be a designer to judge a course. Designers design for golfers to play their courses, if they don’t want feedback, don’t ask. If a course is criticised on tour that’s absolutely fair play - the scheduler has more than one to choose from.
Bottom line - too many people are princesses. Y’all need to take some cement and harden the f up.

I remember the days of the Lower League Managers section of the Sports Interactive forum where being called a Poof was a compliment. How forums have changed through the years.

Maybe it’s me. Am I becoming a snowflake? Yes. (How did this thread go 12 days without someone making this obvious joke response?)

Maybe it’s me. Am I becoming a snowflake? Yes. (How did this thread go 12 days without someone making this obvious joke response?) And not only did I walk into an ambush but I put a gun in everyone’s hands. Yet nobody pulled the trigger.
