I have watched quite a few videos and streams of you much better than I designers and I have a question about moving splines.
I notice that those who use "controllers" can click on a spline point to move it and the spline point stays in place until you move it.
I figured out how it is done with the buttons on the controller but for some reason I cannot consistently get it to work using a mouse on the PC.
I choose spline point and then the submenu comes up with the move, delete commands. I left click and hold on the spline point and choose move from the menu...the problem is when I do that, the spline point jumps way offline.
Occasionally, left clicking on the spline point the point stays where it was but 98% of the time it jumps.
Is there another way of doing this?

I'm not really sure since I use a controller and not mouse/keyboard. Maybe it's just with the mouse that it doesn't always start right where the spline point is? There has to be someone who has a tip on this.

No idea either as I too also use a controller.
If I get time I'll switch control over to mouse and see if I can help you.
However..........
I know you didn't ask for it, but my biggest piece of advice for you regarding anything like this in the designer is ditch the mouse and use the controller full time.....it is sooooo much easier for pretty much everything.
*Edit
Just saw your other post about controller sensitivity where you mention hand problems etc. so feel free to ignore my advice about using controller

It might be that your cursor isn't directly on the spline because I know you can select an item/spline if the cursor is in the vicinity. So when you select it, it could move the spline to where your cursor is, if that makes sense.
I don't use a mouse either but I thought I'd suggest something.

I use a mouse, and get the same problem. Haven’t found any solution, i’ve just got used to it. Didn’t realise it wasn’t an issue with a controller, but i still much prefer to use mouse & keyboard (for designing).

Figured it out.
1. Highlight spline you want to move, then click #6 or #7 on keyboard (changes depending on other "things" close to where you are working) 2. Submenu has move command as #1. 3. Right click and hold on the spline you want to move. 4. Select #1. 5. RELEASE right click 6. Cursor stayed where the spline was, if it does move it is a minuscule amount OR you let go of right click before selecting #1.
Thanks for all the feedback, it did make me figure it out.
