Monday morning and no thread? It's quiet up here! Played my first round last night and had a bit of time so played against some turn based ghosts (can't be doing with the meteor trails). Realised I'd played the course before as soon as I loaded it up. It's my kind of track, love the design and how cool are those tunnels? Did have some pretty significant lag on a number of holes, but thankfully none that affected my shots, just a bit of motion sickness. Funny old round, only 3 pars and with the exception of a VF wedge in to 13 swing was pretty good. Course was set up pretty easy for this round though and I'm not surprised to see some very low rounds on the leaderboard. I should have been one of them but for two bogeys that were both totally on me. Really poor flop on 3 where I wasn't brave enough and on 17 after a fast off the tee missed the green, got too aggressive with the chip back up. That one really stung as I was having thoughts of breaking 60. Plenty of good stuff in there though, some nice approach play, lovely chip in for eagle on 12, a -12 60 to start with which gives me a chance of making my first cut since I got here. Going to need another decent round though, I can see the cut similar to last week. One of my playing partners was xEB50x, shot a nice 59 to win our 4-ball, but what the hell happened on 9 Robert? I was wincing on your behalf

Just played my first two rounds. Pretty much every par was a missed putt, including many in the 10-20ft range. Only made tap ins, basically. I'm off form, and it's annoying. Think I might be overplaying.
Not even sure my -21 will make the cut...

You had a bit of a roller coaster, loads of birds but a couple of putts that must have had you resisting throwing the controller across the room, and what must have been a VF in to the canyon of doom on 16? Great shooting to get to -46 from there!

But somehow calmed down and found my grove the next 3 rounds. You are right though. That was a controller throwing round

Off and away with a -14 round 1. Actually made some mistakes, but I know way better than to complain. I should be setup nicely with low pressure for the first two playoff events due to my solid season so far. Next goal is to make this cut as I will need another good round due to the birdie fest so far. Cut may sneak over -20 this week.

I was wincing on your behalf Nice start Jamie! One more double digit round and you should be safe. Looks like -20 to -21 will be cut. Ya, hole 9.....I had the controller in my hand and reached for a drink. The drink slipped, and somehow my right thumb started the putt, which as you saw travelled about 4 in. I was really playing well, so I was able to take a deep breath and have a bit of a laugh, then kept playing. The old me may would have lost it! Ended in a bogey. LOL
I'm sitting at -40 through 3 rounds. -13 -15 -12
I've been playing a lot of golf lately, and it has really paid off with my tempo. Only one VS on one of the rounds, but I was lucky it stayed in the fairway. Plus I have gotten much better with my wind meter adjustments, and yardages. Hope it continues
Good luck next round, the course has many scoring holes, and 3 Eagles in a round is possible.

Worst I've played in a couple of months. And still probably just one shot short of making the cut. Not sure if that makes me happy or sad.
Round 1: Run of the mill -10. Too many slightly fast downswings and 25 footers that should have been under 10 feet.
Round 2: 5 very fast downswings in the first 10 holes, wtf. At -2 through 7, I figure I'm out of it. But then I drain a 65 footer with a 100 ft stroke and on the next hole my final VF makes the ball bounce over the little piece of water. Super good luck on those holes to give me the slightest hope. I play okay the rest of the way to finish at -9 (-19 overall).
I had been swinging very well lately. I don't think I've ever had 5 VFs in one round. Bizarre.

Finished work, didn't even go for a pint down my friendly local which basically has a lock in every night. All I am wanting to do is get home and fire up round 2, see if I can finish the job and make this cut. Get home, pour a glass of wine, stick Radio X on, fire up the game. Come on Jamie, we can do this! A slow off the first tee but it's in the fairway because I didn't take driver (wise choice). Awkward lie though and an awkward pin to get at, par. Play the par 5 2nd well, within a nat's foreskin of holing my eagle chip, settle for birdie. Ok, let's go! Miss the green right at 3 but this time didn't make a mess of the up and down, par. -1 thru 3, solid but unspectacular, a long way to go. 4th I stripe my drive straight down the middle, got a perfect GW distance in which is perfect because I don't carry a GW any more. Do I loft my PW or deloft my SW? Just decided on the former...... and then my internet goes down. "Problems in your area." No Radio X, no golf, just me and a glass of wine, staring at the hub willing it to stop flashing I'm giving it 5 more minutes.

Hah, lipped out a 6 footer on the very first hole. Left a 37 footer 10 inches short on 2. Had a 3 putt bogey on 7 after a slow downswing on my approach. Lipped out an 8 footer on 10. Lipped out an 11 footer on 16. Finished by missing a 62 footer by inches on 18 and shot -8 for the first round.
Continued the trend in the second round by lipping out a 6 footer on 2. Missed a 6 footer on 7. Finally made an eagle on 8. Missed another eagle on 12 by inches. Missed a 10 footer on 17. Ended up shooting -9, for -17 through 2 rounds. As usual I'm going to miss another cut because I can't make short putts.

After a pretty lackluster season (26% cuts made) I shot pretty well for me here. Shot -43 total. First top25? We'll see.
Great course, been pushing to get this on tour for ages. Not sure why the lighting was messed with. Looks better with default lighting imo.

-46
No Top Ten, but a solid tourney heading into playoffs. I loved the course, but I don't like making par and knowing that the tournament is likely lost. Betting I will be 14 back of the winner, and likely in the Top 20.

I kept getting these random pauses during my swing and then a maximum very fast or very slow swing. Anyway -17 won't do it, actually surprised just how low everyone is going. My first round was kind of a fluke though, -5 lol.

Resumed my 2nd round from the 4th fairway where my little man had been asleep since last night after my internet issues. In that time he'd changed his mind on club selection and went with the SW, didn't matter because a VF took the ball way left! Great start. But made a nice up and down and that kind of set the tone for the round. Took my scoring chances when they came along and scrambled well when I got in trouble. Finished at -11 for -23 at the cut, I think I'm finally going to get on the money list! Happy days, I can pay my caddie What would Matt Kuchar do?
