Great to be back on the BCT! I tried my hand at the Pro clubs and got frustrated after a few tournaments. Rather than suffer, I came back quickly to all you nice folks.
Had quite an interesting tournament. Got my first Ace in tournament play since I can't remember. Would have had an -18 but I missed the birdie putt on the 18th. Closed out with 55 / 56 to hit a -58 total.
BUT.....I am going to have to take a DQ this week. I have not played the game since last week, and when I loaded up I forgot to change my clubs back to Beginner. I got to the 1st tee and realized my mistake, but nothing I could do from there. Even though I tried to switch out before taking my first swing, it won't let you do that. Oh well. My score would not have won this thing.
So officially back in another week. Good luck to everyone!

Nice rounds anyway. I think starting a tourney knowing I need 58 under would feel pretty overwhelming, to the point where I might try too hard and that's a mistake. I'll agree that 58 is beatable but stringing together 4 -15 rounds is a tough feat. Who's gonna pull it off this time?

Brutal yaters! I try to always double check my clubset. It's probably only a matter of time until I doom myself like that as well. Sorry man, see ya next week though!

Got a stupid bogey in the last round. Will Darryl take advantage and bring home the trophy? Will Mike find himself atop the BCT mountain again? Or will it be victor, with 100% medium range putts made? Maybe someone new will find themselves on top, or maybe catdogs score will prove insurmountable. This week on BCT

Welcome back Yaters, well, kind of. Sorry that happened to you buddy. You’ll be a force next week.
But wait, you were “struggling” with pro clubs on the CC tours, forgot to change them, and shot -58 with them here? Good grief, what will you shoot with beginner clubs? LOL! 😳

That was my last tournament ever. I know what Thomas shot.
I tried my best and shot -55. I'm done.
If only you could wipe yourself from the system.

I won't be here next week either.
-55 is a great score, guaranteed top 10, likely a top 5.

LOL! 😳 I only played the first round with Pro clubs (-13). The rest was with beginners. Thought I had the hang of Pro clubs. Finished 3rd in CC-A tournament, but the next week had about 20 Fast or Very Fast swings and didn't want to get so frustrated I stopped playing again. Really like the game better without having to worry about some weird tempo crap.

The Dave & Liz Chappell Memorial Cup @estrella de la Muerte, Round 1.
Mike would off his round with 4 birdies and very unlucky not to have made Eagle on 2, 2 pars on 5 & 6 and the pressure was on with names like Hudson and McCord shooting -17 & -15 respectively, so the chase for birdies would continue, 3 more birdies to finish the front 9 at -7 and he was at least in hunt, but par on the 10 felt like a bogie, 4 straight birdies had him back in the swing, unfortunately only 2 more birdies on the last 4 holes would leave him with a nice round of 59 (-13).
Asked about his round and Mike replied I think I've given them to much of start they looked real good out there today.

The Dave & Liz Chappell Memorial Cup @estrella de la Muerte, Round 2.
Mike would start his 2nd exactly the same way as his 1st with 4 straight birdies and a par on 5, only 2 more birdies on the front 9 would see him at -6, with only 3 birdies in the first 6 holes of the back 9 wasn’t going to be enough to stay in touch with the leaders, Mike would close out the back 9 with 3 straight birdies to make the round look better than it really was. In what was really a better scoring opportunity in round 2 Mike really needed at least 58 or better, but 2 bogie free rounds are hardly something to complain about, so its back to practice and more drinking at the RV with the gang and hopefully we can still finish off strong in the last 2 rounds.
