-12 the first round and -13 the second for -25 thru 2. Really solid rounds and quite honestly, some stupid mistakes through the first 2 rounds and I could realistically be at -27 or -28. This course gives you some interesting decisions to make on how you want to play it and I think that's always a nice touch. Beautiful layout. However, after not being able to finish last week and taking 2 demotion marks because of it, a strong week this week is much needed. I had some stuff that popped up that didn't allow me to finish the tournament after starting and those things happen, so no worries. Hopefully I can find a way to compete thru to the end and try to make up some of that ground I lost last week. Good luck to all that are battling!

About as well as I can play the first two rounds. My best showing ever thus far. The feeling of the inevitable is hovering. After reading some posts I actually took the time to look around. Really lovely course to look at.

Really excited that this course was enjoyed! Matt and I laid the foundation, and Terry and Reeb made it stunning IMO. Thanks for the feedback!

I love ya Dax - played your R3 ghost last night and we had a good ding dong battle, both finishing at -13. I needed 9 birdies on the back 9 to keep pace with you...
I woulda beat you if I didn't spend most of the round trying to work out how to say your gamertag... Drevoleverb.... Dr Evolo Verb.... Dre Volo Verb.... Dr Evolover B.... Drevo Lover B... I was chuntering like that the whole round... before the penny dropped on hole 18.... D Revolov Erb! Nailed it.

Finished at -47 to tie my PC rival Jacko. 4 mostly solid, yet unspectacular overall rounds, 2 of which were saved from disaster by hole-outs, so not a fantastic performance, but I'll take the score and move on.
After a few weeks in the past several of me commenting on courses and setups, I feel compelled to compliment those things this week. I've played the course a time or two before (directly after publish), so it was fun to remember certain shots on some holes from those previous experiences, just a top-notch design all the way. Would I want to play something like this every week? Goodness no, the elevation changes and up/side slopes everywhere would drive me nuts if it was the norm, but I thought it fit very well with the courses overall design. There were some really tricky green sculpts around some pin locations with heavy slopes/tiers, but I appreciated the fact that every pin didn't seem like it was stuck on a high point with the sole purpose of making every putt as difficult as possible - if you hit shots to the correct spots, you were rewarded with entirely make-able, but not gimme, putts (says the guy who missed 2 inside of 6ft in the first 2 rounds).
Also certainly want to mention that I enjoyed the setup for all 4 rounds this week, as best I can remember. Kudos Dale, absolutely nothing to complain about this week - thanks for your efforts!

Eric gets all credit for the great green work. They play really well. My job was to make sure you break your ankles on every approach shot.
Mission accomplished!

It was a fun course. I just suck. Tried next week's Blackwater Cove and think that is going to be the end of my sanity. It is very difficult from tee to green. Tee shots are tough to get onto the fairway and if you don't it is heavy rough. Many second shots even with a P/F teeshot were 230+ yards out. I can imagine that if the winds are up, some of these holes may be hard if not impossible to reach in two. If you do find the surface, then you gotta figure out how to stay on it as there are lots of fall offs and collection areas. Followed Smooth and he only managed a -4 on it while Jacko got -8. That tells me it is going to be rough.

So...I think next week is one where setup could get away from us pretty easily. There's a lot of manufactured difficulty built into that course, I hope the setup gods realize that and don't try to ramp it up far past what it is on default....but we shall see. Don't expect any lack of comments in next week's thread

Weather report gives one round each of High / medium / low / default winds next week - so shouldn't be toooooooo difficult......honest!
And course conditions can't be bumped up anyway - default greens are VF/VF - the forecast gives Default / Moderate as the two options for both firmness and speed.
Brighttail - there should only be 3 holes where hitting the fairway is difficult - 4/7/9 (7 being the toughest) But even if you miss the fairway at 7, you can still get it to the green from 250 out with a 65-70% tough lie due to the downslope
But yes - I do expect some 'unfavourable' comments come Sunday.......but then it's the same for everyone, and making the cut will definitely not need you to shoot double figures under each round! (I'd expect level par to have a good shout at making the cut)

I coulda woulda shoulda done the same on my round 4 in this tournament But will settle for a decent-ish 62... certainly a little bit better than my playing partner for the round.... GW_Hope ... my condolences Sir! Looking like it might not count anyway - I'm part of the cabal on -18, currently sitting at 69th. To all those with rounds left to play, I can only hope some sort of mild disaster falls upon thee, just major enough to stop you playing your round 2... perhaps you "slipped" and fell on your freshly lubricated controller and had to rush to the hospital to get it extracted... or something...
