I suggested just transparency for >1 API pull. If we knew what other people are doing and coupled with how they carry themselves on the forums, we can make our own judgment. It's a marginal issue across the player base, so lets all keep perspective. and maybe avoid the shouty caps lock button flyingj75 ... Been asking for transparency, sometimes if you don't shout you can't be heard. I suggested 2+ for the first pull from play. That would be 2 in a 4 weeks span of time. If a person is failing one and going 4 weeks before failing again (which would be the minimum time to avoid further penalties under my system) the admin can simply check if it looks like the person is gaming the system and it not how close are they to the tours average.
The main thing here is common sense and the desire to fix something. If a player's score gets dropped every other week, what deterrent is being offered to make them WANT to fix an issue? None. Their scores don't post they get to play next week. No big deal. But now if they have to play the next 3-4 weeks, KNOWING that their scores won't be posted and they still have to pass, that may change things up.
Of course they could speed golf their rounds to ensure those 3-4 weeks the pass and then try to do shenanigans again but when caught this time they are out 4-5 weeks. In short, not a lot of fun for them and from us player's perspective it is as if they aren't playing at all and we don't have to worry about them.
For me this game is all about patterns. Each player has an API Pattern and the admin are pretty good at understanding when someone is working out side that pattern, whether it be to try to actually improve a swing so it becomes legal or if the pattern is one of deception and them trying to play the system. As we have already seen a few times this years, those players get the season long suspension.
In short my way gives everyone a 2 times and 'oops' or 2 times that they played well above their level with a great swing. The players that are playing fair, I would say hardly any of them have 2 pulled APIs over the season. Those aren't the people we are looking at. This is to get the people who refuse to change anything and 'play the odds' instead of reworking their swing like many of us have had to do.

This is a nice course! I enjoyed the elevation changes throughout. Started out-9 and -12 to sit -21 at the midway point. Getting to the weekend is always nice and that should be enough. Good luck to all still to start and to those with rounds yet to complete.

Wish I'd read your posts here before I filled in the survey - so I could have seconded your proposal - but it's early morning and my brain isn't functioning properly yet (if it ever does, to pre-empt Fadge, Gavlaar or Smiffy questioning that )

-11 for my 2nd round, totalling -18 at the halfway stage - I'm the bell weather for the cut line - so without even looking at the table, imagine I'll be *just* inside... like I am most weeks....
Already said it after my first score post, but it bears repeating.... often... the course is STUNNING. Spent 5mins just admiring the view of that "sugarloaf" style mountain on the 17th.
Woulda given it 7 stars if I could - can see from the course db it's a collaboration between Eric, Terry & Brian - awesome job chaps - what a beautiful ménage à trois!

So Vitaly's scores were good to win the prestigious Open Championship 2 weeks ago but gets dq'd this week?
I wonder how close the API data for those 8 rounds are?

Flick knows, but I'd bet on short odds that.... bah!! You get what I'm saying. Hopefully he can work with the admin too get to a point where the swing is conforming and continue to challenge, as he's obviously a good knocker. If not, he can fall back on his other talents.

He should be able to sort it, either way.
