This is my current WIP and I say that tentatively, still not completely sure but I’d love to hear opinions or feedback, promise I won’t bite 😂. Mainly wondering if the look works and should the waste area/bunker connect with the bit up by the green?

Can we see it from the overhead? My immediate thought is that the fairway bunkers are too aligned down the middle and the one fronting the green should be pulled into the fairway left or pushed out to the right some, but I can't see the shape of the green to get a grasp on which I think would be better. I love the look though, that second pic especially is already something serious.

I would bring the top third of the fairway bunker on the right into the fairway more so that it narrows the neck of the fairway at the driver landing area, and also makes the left side of the fairway the preferable angle into the green.

Updated first hole, elevation changes around the green and the fairway from left to right , gave the waste areas/bunkers some pop and extended it into the fairway both on the far bunker and near left bunker

I personally like connecting “natural” areas to bunkers but the look you have going on here is very very cool. As long as you like the look and feel of things, then you’re good to go! Don’t be afraid to push it a little bit either! I’m anxious to follow your progress on this one.

Second hole is done, 6 hours thru two holes thus far but man I like the way they look and play! Not decided on whether to do a traditional par 72 or make it interesting with a par 70 thus far

Alright guys and gals need some inspiration.... have no clue on what to do with this par 3, green works from right to left downhill. I have the green basically like I want it just need to figure out something to give it character and identity...

Very short non drivable par 4 this one is quirky with a fairway sloping from right to left still a work in progress but it’s coming together. As always suggestions are welcomed (needed for my terrible designing 😂).

I prefer the designing to the screenshot skills! I like the view through the trees, from what I can tell...

Got desperate and decided to publish a 4 hole beta. Feedback is needed and anything is appreciated! Was inspired after eating my tater tot casserole so I did some work on the par 3 third hole... could be polarizing lol. Decided a beta is easier than trying to decipher my awful photography skills 😂

First green felt a touch severe - missing in the bunker right left basically no chance of keeping it on the green. Fairway design is nice and I like the bunkering. I think under/around the trees is your main issue here as it just feels a bit empty. Either big bushes, more trees or wait till you build more holes behind them and have that do the work for you. Particularly obvious on hole 2, but don't use the same tree in the same size and at the same angle - vary them more. Really like the second shot - maybe make the tee shot more forgiving so that everyone faces it? I found the heavy rough and had to lay up, which was a shame. The water on 3 works nicely - do more with that as it draws the eye away from the emptier areas. Not a fan of the fourth hole the way it is as the trees just break up all of your options. I'd cull the group on the left and bring the tree line back from the right a bit. I know you want the closed environment and this is perhaps a personal preference, but I view trees blocking fairway as a cop out from the designer - you can come up with better hazards (you have on all the other holes). Again, that front left of the fairway is then blocked out by trees - why would you ever play there? Just don't feel like this hole has a plan...
My common theme would be that the greens are too harsh and you need a planting strategy for avoiding the emptiness. Other than 4, I enjoyed the hole designs and love the look. Keep at it and hope the feedback helps!
