St. Moritz Valley:
With its stunning 360° snow capped mountain backdrops the tiny village of St. Moritz is hidden away in the upper valleys of the Swiss Alps. Venture down into the basin & you cannot help but stumble across it's popular golf club of the same name. Subtle elevations, strategic pine trees & a myriad of waterways await those looking for a challenge. At just short of 7300 yards Master clubs are a must from the tips for those wanting to maximise scoring chances. Shot shaping will also define how well your round goes. A more relaxing test of skills can be found using Pro clubs from the Blues whilst beginners will favour the front red tees. The default settings for St. Moritz Valley are: Theme: Swiss. Atmospheric Conditions: Late Summer, afternoon, light cloud cover. Holes: 18. Approximate Length: 7300 yards. Par: 72 (4 x par 3, 10 x par 4, 4 x par 5). Fairways: Normal. Greens: Firm. Greens speed: Fast @ 173 feet putt rating. Tees: Black 7284 yards. .…..... Blue 7018 yards. …....... Red 6707 yards. Note:St Moritz Valley is my entry for the Dream Team design contest & is part of the “Team Sindre squad.” Selected pics: Short showcase video:
As ever; constructive feedback is always welcome. Enjoy, have fun & good luck to all involved in the competition.

Simon seems to be building a golfing empire in the Swiss Alps, with St. Moritz Valley to compliment Bourg en Bresse. St. Moritz has less elevations but is as equally as challenging as Bourg en Bresse. What he does well is the risk/reward shots, it's not just aiming to a narrower fairway there's a bit of shot shaping to get there. He uses the trees well as barriers to be hit over or shaped round, something that few courses do.

Unlike any other Simon Morris course that I have played before but lacking none of the fun factor that his courses always bring, such a blast to play, so may should I or should I not moments ,some shots to tempting not to try. Would love to see this on tour next season, like maybe the Korn Ferry Tour, just saying.

What a design. Love this, from both a playability standpoint and an aesthetic one. So many little touches here and there - like the curved handrails on the descending stairways which are actually streetlamps sunk into the ground! - and a lot of attention paid to landing areas, fairway contours and green sculpting. Gotta think about your shots on this course, there are trees and bunkers in strategic places that require shot-shaping or clubbing down, and good solid risk and reward. Aside from the lack of barnyard animals, this is a fantastic course. Best wishes in the contest!

Buoyed by the positive feedback so far folks.... Many thanks for the kind comments & clever GIFs. The proof of the pudding will lie with the judges... Tried a few different techniques & hopefully they pay dividends. My goal when entering these contests is to earn a tour spot... maybe hmammoth is trying to strike a deal?

It’s on my list for potential tour courses next season, I always enjoy courses where shot shaping can bring results. Then screwing with those results by using high winds in the opposite direction.

Ode to the Alpine Mountains
The slanted fields of Switzerland Lonely peaks covered in snow
To-day the hills put off their haze,to show me the best ways Rockwork as usual like Swiss Clockwork
Your Shapes and sculpting is being reformed, just like the Alpines
Couple cramped and contracted areas but thats about it really All the rest is steadfast Great outlook Also found the easter eggs, good little touch there
The Immortal Alps look down
Nice Job
